Ron Paul Blimp Balloons Interest Thread

This thread is in the general section because we are trying to get the ball rolling on the Ron Paul Blimp Balloon project but want to make sure there is interest out there before we start ordering.

The Blimps:

The blimps are custom printed and double sided, dimensions are 30" x 15"

Price Scale:

All prices include USPS Shipping

2 for $10 ($5 each)

5 for $23 ($4.25 each)

10 for $40 ($4.00 each)

25 for $75 ($3.00 each)

50 for $125 ($2.50 each)

100 for $225 ($2.25 each)

200 for $400 ($2.00 each)

Though I am not looking for anything binding here, I would like to get some "mini-pledges" to show that you are interested and how many you would order (we have to order 250 at a time).

Yep! We need tons for the super bowl!!!! Shelton have you seen the you tube with a mini blimp? It's was used in a parade and about 11' long! We need one for the super bowl too! It's about $400. I have no idea how much $$ we have to spend for that event. Ernie has been vague ;)

We need to raise $500 for the initial order, though a supporter may front us the money to start up ( the point of this thread is to show him there is interest) and we will pay him back once the orders come in.

Under the suggestion of another member I have added a Chip-In to the page. How this will work is any money donated through the chip in will be used to place the first order, the proceeds from the first order will fund the second and donors can choose to receive a pack of balloons OR offer them to needy groups.

There will be no refunds because one way or another THIS WILL HAPPEN, if I didn't donate for the past three money bombs I would front the cash to get this started, but I feel the $250 set aside for my wifes donation on dec 16th is very important.

Rest assured this is GOING to happen, if it comes down to it I will activate a credit card to throw the order on it, that is how serious I am (but I hope it doesn't come to that).

I am going to use the $52 balance in my paypal account for this cause but the chip-in wont reflect it as I cannot donate to myself.

Can the balloons be received before the 16th

Yes

When the order is placed we expect a week turn but the company does offer an express service for an additional $80 that prints them in 24hours. If we had an investor who was willing to put the $600 up front for this project by tomorrow we could have the balloons shipped directly to them after printing.

This option is rather unlikely though as the person/people investing in the first lot would also need to have someone in Boston to distribute or be there themselves.

Yes, the issue is raising all of the funds by tomorrow to ensure express printing and time to them to be shipped to Boston.

Those are fantastic! They NEED to be available at the Tea Party on Sunday. It would be great if someone could donate the money so that they can be given out to NON SUPPORTERS. If you have that thing floating around your living room long enough you are bound to "google Ron Paul" eventually.

they have mini-blimps the size of any balloon!! I was thinking along the lines of those but also some blimps cruising across computer screens as ads, make them have to chase down the blimp to click and close but have it open a window like all the other ads:) blimps everywhere:)

i haven't priced bigger balloons yet but they could make them the size of vw bugs! They would have to be anchored but could be set up outside of huge events and be seen for miles just have to check air regulations in cities and counties!!

yeah the op in this thread will get you hooked up . he is talking about taking orders for mini balloon blimps. they are just what your looking for great for events as you walk around as your blimp follows 10-25 feet in the air:) so let him know how many you want. i have seen the mini blimp balloons and they are so kewl!!

yes a string but i am sure some sell with sticks and yes not sure how long they hold the helium but yes

You can buy/hire car balloons/blimps too and attach them to the back of your truck's cab.The ones I saw were missiles so it looks like you are about to be hit by them as you drive along.Can't remember where I saw them but someone else might know.
