Donate as early as you can on Dec. 16. The best strategy would be to donate after 12am, before going to bed.

Why?

1) Lower website traffic than during the daylight hours on Dec. 16.
2) Easier cc/payment processing.
3) Big early morning results will give the MSM something to report first thing in morning
4) Media coverage+Early $'s = Bigger snowball, momentum.
5) Frees you up to go to Boston (or other local Tea Party) event.

All true except #1.
Last time, the freaking server took off like a rocket at about 11:45pm the night before. Some people just couldn't wait to throw their money into the pot. It was hilarious. The traffic at midnight will be staggering. I would try to donate around 4am EST. That will likely be the slowest time.

I'm planning to force myself to go to bed early that night, because I know once midnight comes I won't go to bed.

I want to wake up refreshed on 12/16 and see how many millions came in over night!

Would it be un-American to take a sick day that day just to stay home and watch the progress? :)

The daytime hourly rates were still higher than the midnight boom.

Definitely. Looking at the graph (http://www.ronpaulgraphs.com/nov_5_extended_total.html). We see the overnight hours are lite compared to during the day hours.

Thank you I was looking for that and forgot where I saw it.

So, please, set your alarm clock for 4am and donate.

We really need an announcement on the TeaParty07 web site about donating in the correct time zone (Eastern Time)... so that donations get counted on the 16th, rather than the 15th or 17th...

See this thread:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=50306

We could literally lose hundreds of thousands of donation dollars because of the confusion over when to donate.

This is so important, but no one seems concerned about it. :(
