For the past 2 weeks, Hezbollah forces and SAA together with Russian airstrikes
have successfully driven Al-Qaeda affiliated jihaddis off the Qalammon Mountains
down to the Lebanese border/Bekka Valley.
Arsal was the last major holdout to have been taken.
Green bus convoys 3 days ago transported some 5,500 of surrendered jihaddis & families to Idlib.
The unsurrendered remaining 'rebels' are caught in a pocket with Hezbollah at their backs
and the Lebanese army in their face.
Why the US special forces are there is more for 'show' and 'headlines' than anything else.
Probably a DIRECT result of Trump's recent tet-a-tet
with the Saudi/Sunni friendly Lebanese Prime Minister last week in DC.
