Michigan city has zero mayoral candidates on ballot after deadline passes


SOUTH LYON, MI - The deadline to file for a mayoral run in South Lyon passed this week without a single application for a spot on the ballot.


South Lyon is without an official mayoral candidate, but there is the possibility of write-in candidates running for the position, according to the deputy clerk.

"Rumor has it that we will be getting a couple write-ins, but at this point no one has officially met the deadline at 4 p.m. Tuesday, and put in the paperwork for it," Pieper said.

At least two people called and were interested in appearing as a write-in candidate, Pieper added.

Yes , without the council , if I lived there I could do it one day a month for half pay ( 110) as a public service .
