Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is expressing growing frustration with the Trump administration
and may be considering resigning from his role, according to a report from CNN Monday morning.

Though the former CEO of ExxonMobil Corp. has said that he would stay on as the top U.S. diplomat until the end of the year at least,
several anonymous sources told CNN over the weekend that he might leave earlier than that.

I could see him leaving if the Sanctions Bill goes in to law. What would be the point? That is pretty much the Congress saying they aren't going to allow him to do his job.

Any person that accepts a Trump appointment had better already be unemployed.

State Dept. in ‘Open War’ With White House (http://freebeacon.com/national-security/state-dept-open-war-white-house/)

The State Department under Secretary Rex Tillerson has been locked in a growing power struggle with the White House.

The State Department is said to be in a state of "massive dysfunction,"
with top officials working under Tillerson ignoring White House directives on critical staffing issues and key policy matters.

"It's no secret that the State Department is waging an open political war, which includes policy insubordination and press campaigns, against the Trump White House,"

"Foggy Bottom is still run by the same people who designed and implemented Obama's Middle East agenda,"

"Tillerson was supposed to clean house, but he left half of them in place and he hid the other half in powerful positions all over the building.
These are career staffers committed to preventing Trump from reversing what they created."

key State Department positions remaining unfilled,
a situation that has only elevated the roles of former Obama administration officials who still work in the department.

"Those lists [of candidates] literally go nowhere,"
"It's like a sham process. And the reason is not because the White House isn't behaving professionally.
It's because Tillerson isn't professional at all."

As key positions remain vacant, Tillerson has begun to rely on Obama-era holdovers.

Boy, some management skills the trust fund baby reality television character businessman has there, huh?

Any speculation about who's to replace Tillerson? How about Christie? He likes to bomb things, no?

Yay, we get to see our old friend Jon Huntsman again. Another way for him to stick it to Mitt.

dunno, I rather like the sounds of all this:

excerpts

He resigned, as required for political appointees, on Jan. 20, the day President Trump took office. But six months later, Forman and his staff have not been replaced.
...
His is one of scores of empty offices in a demoralized State Department, where critics say a panorama of missing diplomats, analysts and bureaucrats is weakening the foreign policy mission and hurting efforts to project American values abroad.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has embraced a White House proposal to slash the combined State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development budget by nearly a third next year, from $54.9 billion to $37.6 billion.

...
Even Tillerson’s staff has taken a hit. He has appointed only one undersecretary, not the six who worked for his predecessor, John F. Kerry
...
Current and former State Department officials say it appears that one goal in the reorganization is to reduce staff by attrition, what one critic called “death by a thousand cuts.”

and

A senior State Department official, who asked not to be named for fear of retribution, said morale had plummeted. Diplomats and foreign service officers who can earn higher salaries in the private sector were leaving in droves, the official said.
bless their hearts.

The final cuts won’t be that severe. Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called it a “waste of time” to even review the proposed budget because Congress would reject it.

of congress wont even consider actual cuts.

I'm inclined to think bad news about tillerson is propaganda at this point.
