West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is planning to make a "major announcement" Monday.
Morrisey tweeted Sunday he will make an announcement at 5 p.m. Monday in Harpers Ferry.

GOP Rep. Evan Jenkins has already announced a bid for Senate for the seat held by Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin (http://thehill.com/people/joe-manchin), and Morrisey is expected to run as well. Either could be a formidable challenge to Manchin.
Last month, Jenkins and Morrisey took to local radio (http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/337486-likely-wv-senate-gop-rivals-spar-in-radio-appearances) to sharpen their attacks on one another ahead of an expected clash in the state's GOP Senate primary.
