Ron Paul get’s endorsement from Google
July 1st, 2007 by TheFounder

Ron Paul to tour the “GooglePlex” in Mountain View CA 7/13/07. First and only Candidate to get an ‘endorsement’ from Google. It’s worth noting that not everyone is happy about that.

Ron Paul at Google
Posted by Lew Rockwell at July 6, 2007 04:38 PM

At the invitation of that great capitalist enterprise, Ron Paul will tour the Google campus on Friday, July 13, make a YouTube, and deliver a company-wide address to all employees, in person and by streaming video around the world. It is rumored that after Hillary Clinton's unfortunate appearance, the Paulists at Google--apparently a huge group--asked for Ron. Of course, he has by far the best record in DC on protecting the web and web companies from federal meddling. I'll be tagging along, and will live photoblog from this historic event.

Looks like he's just touring google.

The #1 free-market candidate Ron Paul will tour the headquarters of Google Inc. on July 13, 2007. Ron Paul is the greatest supporter for freedom of the Internet. He has voted against ALL regulation of the Internet.

Google overwhelmingly Supports Democrats. This is one of the largest corporations and I doubt Ron Paul does them any favours as President.

Doesn't look like an endorsement to me. I know Obama was there to speak, not sure about the site tour having any significance

Maybe Google will like hearing Ron Paul's freedom message so much that they put a link to his website on the Google homepage.(neocon's worst nightmare).
*Wishful thinking, but stranger things have happened especially with Google.

The Google employees elect a guest to invite every certain period of time. The EMPLOYEES at Google REQUESTED Ron Paul! That's how this all came to be...!

maybe the guys at google will rework their algorythms so that every search of "Britney Naked" gives them Ron Paul results. Dr. Paul's site will crash from the traffic in minutes.

I love it! Look at the top of page the link above points to:
We look cute but boy do we consume resources

You gotta love those guys.
Be sure to digg from the link.

I'm sure Leo and the rest of the Twits will talk about this.
It would sure be great to have the entire Twit army behind RP.

If you don't know what I am talking about then point your computer to www.twit.tv and subscribe to This Week In Tech (Twit - get it?) podcast. John C. Dvorak is a regular and he seems to be on our side (he just may not know it yet.)

I think it's great that it was Google employees that requested he be invited, though. :)

Those guys are socialists from what I can tell. I seriously doubt they would endorse anyone that does not regulate the market from so called evil business.

its not an endorsement, its a job interview. They invite the candidates to the Googleplex to present their ideologies and track records, then they ask Google-specific questions. They already "interviewed" Hillary and McCain. here's some more links:

Evil business, like allowing the censorship of Google in China. They should be relieved that Ron Paul won't dictate how Google should run its business.

They have invited all the candidates:

http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2007/05/presidential-campaign-trail-winds.html

So what should be of interest is not his visit so much as the rally the next day in Mountain View-it's a chance to connect with Silicon Valley.

Not my take at all. Heck, I've been wrong one or two times in the past, so I may be wrong this time. But seriously, they seem to distrust government and even seemed to agree that any regulation of the net (net neutrality) is bad.

Nice thought. But in actuality, Google could care less about regulation, considering their China site cowtows to the Communist hardline smackdown on free speech. Not like they haven't implemented this already in China. Wouldn't be hard to do in the U.S.

However, the Google employees might love it!!!
This will be a great place for Ron to get some more voters behind him!!

God, remember when we were satisfied with a single Ron Paul performance in a week? Now it's like a constant high, some new great announcement coming down every day, one or two interviews a day. He's on a roll now.

i met a Google "news" guy at our meetup. He said the organization is very excited about Ron Paul (as was he).
Try not to paint Google in any other way, they may be an ally.

Google has one of the WORST records on privacy for its users...

They retain data, search results, and IP adresses for 12-24 months! And in some cases longer!

I'm glad Ron Paul is getting the exposure over there in the Bay Area, but Google in no ally to privacy.

Anyone ever read The Google Story (http://www.thegooglestory.com/)? I selected it as the book I would read during my trip to Europe earlier this year. Interesting stuff, and very inspirational.
