Sarah Palin is suing the New York Times for defamation after the paper claimed that her PAC's ad caused the 2011 shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.
The suit, filed on Tuesday in Manhattan federal court, accused the Times of having perpetuated a "fabricated story" in claiming that Palin, the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee, incited the attack, the New York lst reports (http://nypost.com/2017/06/27/sarah-palin-sues-ny-times-for-tying-political-ad-to-mass-shooting/).
