A federal appeals court says Mississippi can start enforcing a law that will let merchants and government employees cite religious beliefs to deny services to same-sex couples (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/aclu-sues-mississippi-over-religious-objection-law/). Last October, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/mississippi-phil-bryant-appeals-court-anti-lgbt-religious-freedom-law/) asked a federal appeals court to uphold the state law. On Thursday, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a judge's decision that had blocked the law (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/mississippi-religious-objections-law-impeding-same-sex-marriage-blocked-at-last-minute/) before it could take effect last July.
