Do they have to be actual presidential contenders? I'll never vote for any of them. My second choice would be the lady from the Monroe County PA "name a country beginning with U" video. She's pretty pissed, and used to be a local GOP chair or something. Works for me.

I live in the real world. RP has refused to run for a 3rd party if he does not get the nomination. He will NOT win by a write in vote for sure.

The order of preference is a list of how bad I would feel if the others got elected.

I think most on here would feel much better with Tancredo in the White House than Giuliani!

Ron is the only one who can beat the Dems. If he doesn't get the nomination, either Hillary or Obama will be in the white house.

Besides, voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil, and I won't compromise my integrity by voting for someone who I don't believe in.

That is not really true. Hillary could never win. Bill clinton never even got 50% and he was much more likeable.

I disagree. If it's Hillary against Huckabee, Hillary will win. 70% of folks want the war to end, and even though she's as pro-war as all the rest, Democrats are viewed as generally anti-war. Not to mention the fact that all the people who don't want to live in a Theocracy will vote against Huck.

the fact you guys have other republicans listed other then Ron Paul, tells me why i have never been a registered republican until Ron Paul. if Ron Paul doesnt get the GOP Nomination, then i have no plans on voting for a republican unless they have a new candidate that adopts Ron Paul's Message. the fact i see you listing the others tells me the democrats will win,if you guys are willing to vote for romney/thompson/huckabee/rudolf then you guys deserve hillary clinton for they are just hillary clinton on steroids. makes me want to puke.
I'm A Ron Paul republican, Not a hillary republican if you dont vote for Ron Paul as a write in then you are voting for the hillary types dem or rep.

1. Al Gore (wish he was running)
2. John Edwards
3. Any other democrat except for 4.
4. Hillary
5. Gravel - too much of a nut.

Better than a far right meatheaded warmonger. We stay in Iraq with one of them in office. Ron Paul or Bust for me. Dennis Fillsaniche don't cut it..but this excuse above is ridiculous when the other choices are viewed. BushLite, BushLite, Bushlite, bushLite, bushliTe, etc, At least Fillsaniche ain't BushLite...since we seem to be tossing labels about as freely as griddlecakes at a lumberjack watermelon hoisting contest.

1. Soap Box
2. Ballot Box
3. Jury Box
4. Ammo Box

We've already tried the soap box. This is probably our last chance at the ballot box. Most folks have NO clue how the Jury box is actually supposed to work (being able to judge the 'law' as well as the defendant). This leaves only one option and, if we're going to have to go that route, I'd prefer to go ahead and get it over with so my children won't have to be involved.

I would gladly vote for Fred if he took the nomination.

All of you condemning us for being willing to vote for another Republican need to remember the vast number of reasons different individuals have been attracted to Ron Paul.

Truly shame on you for attacking another individual that has a different point of view than yours... how dare you say in the same thought that you support someone like RP- I believe GWB would fall in line with the beliefs you practice.

Even worse, your (and this is a collective you) mentality is becoming our greatest obstacle to winning the nomination. People know now who Ron Paul is (at least nearly all of my acquaintances do) and in the same breath dismiss him due to his association with supporters like you that condemn their line of thinking. You will never gain an ally by this method. Please reconsider.

I do respect your passion for Dr. Paul can empathize with how he could be the only viable option in one's mind for president, but for those who think less of us who have analyzed and formed an order of preference for other options, please take the time to do that cliché thing of putting on my shoes.

If Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination, I'm writing his name in.

I cannot in good conscience cast my vote for any of the other candidates. I have never felt this strongly about a candidate before and I've been dabbling in politics since I was in College Republicans 12 years ago. When Ron Paul's ideals .... and the ideals of the Founders ... and the ideals of our Declaration of Independence and Constitution get a hold of you, I don't think you can go back to politics as usual. At least I can't.
