Plan A Failing

The Clinton organization had a clear plan A: It envisioned the candidate, as the choice of the party establishment and natural heir to the presidency, to so dominate 2007 that she would be able to corner, not have to capture, the nomination. It worked perfectly for most of the year.

The strategy has imploded. In a similar situation, Bill Clinton would have changed plans on a dime -- he could have gone from B to E during a rest stop.

Hillary has all the strengths cited by those Philadelphia Democrats and much more discipline than her husband. If she can't adjust and rise to this challenge, however, she may well finish third in the Iowa caucuses and lose to Obama in New Hampshire. In the past 30 years, no candidate has lost both these tests and won the nomination.

Great Matt Taibbi article here about the end of Hillary's campaign. This would be good news for Dr. Paul-- less of a political machine to fight.

and wealthy NY socialist. They are going nowhere in the real world. So the CFR has a whole lineup of buffoons to be shot down one by one. Edwards will win Iowa. Screw the NY elite shills.

Damn. We want her to win Iowa by a landslide.

I have a feeling things will be stroked so she gets the nomination; she's stated multiple times that she "won't lose", besides that, Bush is currently "grooming" her for the Presidency....

I want Ron Paul to go up against Hillary. I think he would slaughter her in the general election. I think Edwards would be an easier fight, but Obama would be a very very tough fight.

Same here.

On one hand I'd like her to get the nomination and if Giuliani wins the Republican nomination then it sets up a perfect opportunity for Dr Paul to win as a third party. There would be plenty of Democrats who would rather vote for Dr Paul over Clinton. IMO, a third party win would set up the demise of the two party strangle hold in Washington. It would also possibly help us gain some seats in Congress as issues are brought into the limelight. :)

On the other hand, a Hillary nomination means the Republican base will come out in droves to "defeat Hillary". They hate her SO much it would still be tough as a third party because the Republicans would not want to "throw away" (thank Michael Medved) their vote and chance a Hillary Presidency. On this hand, it means Dr Paul needs to win the Republican nomination in order to win.

I said months ago that this would happen - Hillary went into general election mode WAY too early and now she finds herself in the midst of a primary election for which she is woefully underprepared.

"... and the foxily dressed Michelle Obama ("Jimmy Choos," she says, pointing to her sleek brown boots; they stand out like a set of Ferrari headlights in this room full of bundled-up farm-town housewives) is about to read a story to a bunch of local kiddies."

Hillary will wipe the mat with Edwards and Obama. The MSM is just trying to make it slightly interesting. 2 weeks ago Hillary was a lock in the MSM. Nothing has changed except Oprah came out.

Maybe Hillary ought to stage another suicidal bomber kidnaping?
