Problem is very few in the FC are non-interventionists. They are mostly fiscal conservatives.

I expect they'll block any debt ceiling increase which doesn't include serious spending cuts.

...I wouldn't expect the cuts they ask for to be in defense (though they may oppose Trump's proposed increases).

As Will says, most of them aren't really with us on foreign policy.
