And for those of us who don't have the time or inclination to sit through a video, here's the article: (http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/03/omg-russia-threatens-publish-leaks-things-obama-asked-moscow-keep-secret/)

Asked about the current state of U.S.-Russia relations, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova gave a long winded answer that can be read below. In her answer, Zakharova suggested Russia may “publish leaks” about “secrets” the Obama administration asked the Russian government to keep private. The shocking statement can be found in the second to last paragraph of Zakharova’s answer highlighted in both bold and italic.

If their problem is with the current state of relations, why would the info that they share be about the last administration?

Oh... right.

Oh... right.

Their problem is with the deep state, not Trump. The deep state controlled Obama. Unfortunately the deep state still largely controls much of our government.

They would retaliate ... ? It appears retaliation and attacks on historic leader have been going on for quite a while and some of their retaliatons appeared to cross the line:

Not a fan of DGP but he was our nationally elected leader & still a key figure in Democratic party, Trump should have raised the issue with Putin to protest such attacks.

Oh... right.

Or maybe more logically, it is because those events took place under the Obama administration. And also because it is still the same embedded Washington. "there will come a day when the media will publish leaks about the things that Washington asked us to keep secret". The same folks that are spouting the psychotic nonstop anti-Russia hysterics are the democrats, neocons, the deep state (with its msm mouthpieces) that ran the Obama administration. They haven't disappeared and it is they that would be further unveiled and debunked by exposing the shady secret revelations of the Obama rotten shenanigans.

Oh ... right.

So you want a US President to tell the Russians to crack down on Freedom of speech?

Has Trump donated to their campaigns and helped them get re-elected? Has Trump endorsed them? Has Trump given money to anyone in the Freedom Caucus? Has Trump ever said Justin Amash is doing a great job?

What I would like to see is the Russians have committee meetings and investigations similar to the ones that the U.S. is having now into how the U.S. has interfered into other countries elections.

What's good for the goose and all.

Not at all... that comment was partly sarcasm and was sort of speaking on behalf of democrats since they lack representation on this forum.

Trump's own attacks on Obama probably travel farther than Putin's on the freedoom-of-speech expressway.

Trump seems to be mostly getting a pass on this. He allegedly said he hopes Putin will like him few minutes after claiming that Putin had referred to Obama with n-word.

Trump implies Putin called Obama the N-word

By Caitlin Yilek
Donald Trump (http://thehill.com/people/donald-trump) on Wednesday implied that Russian President Vladimir Putin has used the N-word when talking about President Obama and said he would command more respect as president.
“Putin has said things over the last year that are really bad things,” Trump said at a press conference in Florida. “He mentioned the N-word one time. I was shocked to hear him mention the N-word.” Trump said Putin has “a total lack of respect” for Obama.
“No. 1, he doesn’t like him. And No. 2, he doesn’t respect him,” the billionaire said.
Trump then asserted that Putin would have more respect for him if he succeeds Obama in the White House.
“I think he’s going to respect your president if I’m elected, and I hope he likes me,” he said.

Only a few voices spoke out against that, NBC news OpEd refuted such a notion forcefully:

That said, there is precedent of US Presidents taking corrrective actions when other foreign leaders crossed the line in the past in their freedom of speech expressions.. especially in cases of countries without WMDs:

Why don't we just always say what the Hitler and Stalin would have to say, they have so few defenders anymore.

LOL You really want to suggest that as good precedent?

I'm sure there is a Bulgarian with no identifiable source of income and an inexplicable interest in US politics blogging this our furiously as we speak. It's crucial, you see - at least in the view of many such Bulgarians - that Americans recognize that there is a secret alliance between Putin and [insert whoever you like in US politics] to fight against [insert whoever you think the boogeyman is].

On a side note, has any US tax payers funded agency ever armed/supported Islamic Jihadi militants/foreign fighters to retaliate against Russia?

Why don't we just always say what the Hitler and Stalin would have to say, they have so few defenders anymore.

LOL You really want to suggest that as good precedent?

No, to be serious that was a horrible precedent.
