View Full Version : We're All Crazy

Paul's campaign is drawing support from many groups that have historically been ridiculed by the mainstream press and the mainstream Republican party.

Just off the top of my head I can think of:

LPA Libertarians - parodied by the MSM as fringe weirdos and potheads

Ayn Rand Libertarians - parodied by the MSM as extremists and cultists

John Birch Conservatives - parodied by the MSM as kooks worried about flouridation and their precious bodily fluids

Goldbugs - parodied by the MSM as survivalists waiting for the world economy to collapse and the Mad Max world to start

Pro-States-Rights Groups - parodied by the MSM as confederacy junkies who want to re-enslave African-Americans

9/11 Truthers - parodied by the MSM in, well, all the ways already argued about on this board

Antiwar Republicans - parodied by those sections of the MSM controlled by mainstream Republicans as isolationists who hate America

Anti-AIPAC Republicans - parodied in the MSM as anti-semites and terror apologists

Anti-public school Republicans - parodied in the MSM as homeschool dorks

So you see, when you get the urge to tell another poster that they're crazy, just remember that as far as the MSM is concerned, you're crazy, too.

That's why it's important not just to parrot back at each other the MSM reasons why the other guy is crazy.

You know, maybe the other guy IS crazy, but we don't have to carry water for our opponents by repeating their arguments.

Good post.

I say leave the 9/11 people alone for now. While I do not think much of their claims, the attacks and scapegoating actually make me more sympathetic towards them.

As long as they recognize that Ron Paul does not believe in a 9/11 conspiracy and they don't try to portray him that way, I think we can work together towards a common goal.

The only people I've seen try to connect Ron Paul to a 9/11 conspiracy are the disgraceful John Gibson and Michelle Malkin at Fox News, and I don't think the accusations gained much traction. But it is a danger, and people who seek to misrepresent Ron Paul will not be welcome.

I don't think anyone is crazy. I am not a truther, but having investigated it some I think there is a case to be made.

I also don't believe Vince Foster committed suicide, I think Ron Brown was killed, I think TWA800 was shot down, flouridation of water is poison, etc etc etc.

However, I also realize that agitating about these things is not going to help Ron Paul get elected. And I also think it would be extremely unfair to Ron Paul to try to attach these issues to him when he really hasn't expressed an opinion on them.

We all need to ask ourselves what our motives are.

If we are using Ron Paul to further our own personal agenda or pet theory, that's wrong.

I also think we need to tailor what message we bring to the audience. If we are talking to an audience of mostly still asleep sheeple, I seriously think if we don't tone some of this crap down, we are going to scare them away before we have a chance to wake them up.

The enemies of liberty understand gradualism. The only way they have been able to take away people's liberty is a little here and a little there, until we get to the point where we are today where people are asking for their freedom to be taken away, in the name of security or whatever.

Truth is the same way - we need to give milk before meat. Truth resonates with people, if we can get them to want more then they are going to see how the wool has been pulled over their eyes ON THEIR OWN and they are going to start investigating things more and more.

Now by all means, I am not trying to shut anyone down, and if you feel that being a vocal truther and wearing "9/11 was an inside job" shirts to a rally helps Ron Paul, then by all means, more power to you, we are not here to shut you down, FREE SPEECH, rah, rah, rah.

However, again, think about this. The MSM is completely ridiculing 9/1 truthers and many other so-called conspiracy theorists. Now a lot of people who might even be having some questions about 9/11 fear being ridiculed. Some of you brave souls don't care about being laughed at and that is GREAT. But I feel even the 9/11 truthers do a disservice to themselves by having that be their main message. Let's get people in our camp where they see they can investigate these things without being laughed at.

That's just my two cents, my friendly advice, not an edict. I'm just a fellow traveller expressing MY opinion.

We're crazy?! When I consider who those are that call us crazy I smile from ear to ear. It's those same mindless robots that got us into this mess. It will be those of us that demand change that will undo their madness. I think MSM is insane. Ask a troop in Iraq how he feels about Paris Hilton's pathetic life being bombarded across MSM while the country is going down the toilet. Fools.

What we need is for Clint Eastwood to stand up and endorse Ron Paul and shout:

"I'm mad as hell at the federal government and I'm not going to take it anymore!"

When a ragtag bunch of outlaw misfit Americans stand together for this common cause, THAT will get the attention of the average American. ( it just won't be covered on the mainstream media )

Similar "outlaw" types in other mediums such as Willie Nelson could further use this unique characteristic of our movement to advantage.

The "Grand Chessboard" is being played today by some very devious and deceptive characters...

]"The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes."
- Benjamin Disraeli, 1844[/SIZE]

Most conflict today is phony distraction: democrat vs republican; liberal vs conservative; whites vs mexican immigrants; socialist feminists vs men; etc etc etc

...these conflicts are continually stirred up to distract us all from the real agenda of the real players of the "Grand Chessboard". That agenda is very clear: one world government.

That is your reality.

"The illusion of freedom [in America] will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."

I've been saying get Willie Nelson onboard, but another country/heartland guy would be the Okie from Muskogee! Merle Haggard baby!

He's against all this war going on right now and has even wrote recent songs about it! If we could get those two to publically support/endorse Ron Paul talk about a nice tandem to have for the midwest states!

Here's the MSM's Litmus test for Craziness:

Do you:

A) Believe in the Constitution
B) Maintain at least a healthy mistrust in authority
C) Don't feel especially motivated to buy something after just watching a TV Commercial about it.
D) Believe it is your right to buy a gun without filling out a form and submitting to a background check.
E) Believe that the IRS should be abolished
F) Believe the Federal Reserve should be abolished
G) Don't believe everything that's broadcast on Fox, CNN and MSNBC News
H) All of the above
I) Any two of the above

P.S. Feel free to add your own questions to this Litmus test.

Fred will get a pass because he's a darling of the powers-that-be. That's how
they play the game. I hope none of you have the illusion that at some point
the mainstream media will suddenly see the error of their ways and decide to
play fair. They are all owned by corporations and they toe the corporate line
until forced not to. We have to be steeled for the long haul.

Fred will also get a pass because even if he parrots Ron Paul, they know he is just saying what he needs to in order to win.

Ron Paul means what he says and has the record to back it up. That has a lot of people very worried! :D

When asked about the conspiracy theorist supporting Ron Paul, I just explain that conspiracies only exist because of government's secrecy and that Ron Paul would make our government smaller and 99.9% transparent (got to keep the nuke codes a secret).

Congratulations, you are a domestic terrorist. Well, at least you are according to the US government. Consider turning yourself in to your local authorities. There are FBI offices all around they country and they would like to talk to you. Pack your bags for Gitmo because the government doesn't like you

What a marvelous post, Fluffy... You have pretty much described the vast majority of The American people, but you forgot several groups that the MSM ignore that should be included as well... like the Pro-Gun Democrats, the anti-La Raza Hispanic-Americans, and the anti-NAACP African-Americans.

In any case all of these people can be found among Ron Paul's supporters... I will reiterate here, that the subtle provocateurs will slip in a divisive remark here, or a snide comment there, to get us all fighting among ourselves...

The folks described here are the majority of the American People like I said. However, the ones not described here, who are the true bad guys whether witting or unwitting... are the Neo-Con/Com-Lib false dichotomy... They try to get us to line up behind them, some on one side of the false divide and some on the other... they are the Lie that choose to ignore the Constitution... they breed intolerance, demonization, division, and ultimately... Destruction.

I don't know about that. Let's see...I am the White male head of a traditional family. I am a Christian, a conservative, a Republican. My wife and I are educated and have traditional careers. We have two kids who have not dropped out of school nor gotten in any kind of trouble, we live in a house, we have cars, a dog and a cat, we obey the laws, we pay our taxes, we support our church. We are very traditional in many, many ways.

Yet, I support Ron Paul. Is it this last fact that makes me a "misfit"?
