View Full Version : POLL: Who is trump an agent of?

UWDude

So, is he a puppet in a well orchestrated show for American/neocon/globalist "them" or the "deep state"
Is he a puppet for Putin?
Is he a puppet for Putin, who is part of the deep state, or a puppet of the deep state, which is ran by Putin, or some other worldwide cabal including Putin and the CIA etc?
Is he an agent of himself, out for money and glory?
Is he just a populist, trying to do what he thinks is popular and will give him a bigger win in 2020?

The false Trumpet concealing madness will cause Byzantium to change its laws. From Egypt there will go forth a man who wants the edict withdrawn, changing money and standards.

Trump's ultimate goal is to promote Trump so that Trump hears "Trump" more on TV and Trump can feel better about being Trump.

So, I vote option 4, but several of the others apply.

In the course of pursuing this lifelong goal, Trump ends up working for other people, like a prostitute - for the MIC, for instance.

Nice dodge. So you have an opinion on what trump is doing... ...and it is close to one of the five options, but instead of voting, you are going to talk, because the poll is public, and you don;t want to be on record.

Or you haven't the foggiest idea what Trump's agenda, and who is driving him is. You just hate him.

Come on man, lay it on the table. What is Trump's objective?
Afraid to actually pick an option from the poll because it is public?
Just want to run your mouth on a thread with a poll, without voting in it?

I'll let Trump say it:

From The Art of the Deal:

On exaggeration: "The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people's fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That's why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. I call it truthful hyperbole. It's an innocent form of exaggeration, and a very effective form of promotion."

I dont think that Trump is their "agent" but he has been doing business with the Russians for a very long time.

The premise is that due to his many bankruptcies, Trump was forced to turn to foreign funding as a way to maintain his businesses and lifestyle.

The Russians were a big part of that and he seems to be somewhat beholden to them.

From 2008:

Executive Talk: Donald Trump Jr. bullish on Russia and few emerging markets (http://www.eturbonews.com/5008/executive-talk-donald-trump-jr-bullish-russia-and-few-emerging-ma).

"And in terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets; say in Dubai, and certainly with our project in SoHo and anywhere in New York.

We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia."

As Ron Paul advocates, we should dialogue and trade with other nations.

And lets be honest, Russia is on the right side of the Syrian conflict having sided with the Syrian government.

But much like our own government, Russia's leadership has a horrible track record.

From the Bolsheviks who killed millions of Christians to Stalin to the invasion of Afghanistan.

I do.

Primarily because of their investments in his businesses over the years.

Although I dont necessarily agree, some have suggested that the Russians essentially "own" Trump.

While I agree with the following, I dont think it stems from Trump's "ideals" of non-interventionism (lol) but rather his pro-Russian bias.

Trump campaign guts GOP’s anti-Russia stance on Ukraine (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/global-opinions/trump-campaign-guts-gops-anti-russia-stance-on-ukraine/2016/07/18/98adb3b0-4cf3-11e6-a7d8-13d06b37f256_story.html).

Did the deep state set him up, (same as all the other puppet elections) or do you think they are corrupting him?

There's nothing to corrupt: no principles to betray. He's a reflexive leftist, because he grew up on leftist media and never gave politics any serious thought (like most people), but the reason he's serving leftism isn't so much that as that it's simply the path of least resistance (like for most politicians - hence the dominance of leftism). As for whether the big special interests supported him from the start or just fell ass backwards into the goldmine which is the Trump Presidency? Hard to say, speculative. At the outset, I doubt he was being supported by any of "them," or opposed by any of "them," or even noticed by any of "them." He probably ran as a publicity stunt and things snowballed from there, to the surprise of everyone, including Trump. To the extent that any of "them" ever opposed him later in the campaign, I'd say the reason was fear he would lose them the general election, not that he wouldn't be a pliant tool as President (which he clearly is).

There's the problem with this "them."

There is no "them." There's a cluster of "thems."

Some thems are in the Republican orbit, some the Democratic orbit.

People say Dems and GOPers aren't really fighting over anything: not true.

They aren't fighting over principles, but they are fighting over who gets the best spot at the trough.

I'm saying that some special interests have more to gain from a GOP government than a Dem government, and vice versa.

...even though all the special interests are after the same kind of government-growing policies.

And not just business lobbies, the upper echelons of the parties themselves are powerful political forces.

Don't you think Reince Priebus is making more money now that a GOPer is in the White House?

If so, don't you think he wanted the nominee to be as electable as possible?

He's a witting pawn of the GOP aligned special interests (which are mostly the same as the Dem aligned special interests).

As Hillary would have been a witting pawn of the Dem aligned special interests (which are mostly the same as...etc).

And the difference is negligible. Perhaps a little less cheddar gets thrown at the Solyndras and a little more at the Raytheons.

I believe he is in it for himself at this point. His lavish lifestyle was drying up and he wanted to try something else out. It worked out big for him. If he could I think he would like to be the man that improves conditions in this country. On the other hand if that does not happen he is the kind of person that does not feel remorse. He is clearly a sociopath.

What the "deep state" or "media complex" will do going forward is this:

1. If the economy improves they will say it is because of what obama did during his terms
2. If the economy tanks are moves downward they will say it is because of trump.

It is heads I win, tails you lose.

The only big card he has to play is a complete repeal of obamacare and replacement with Rands plan. If he signs paul ryans plan into law, Any healthcare issues going forward will be blamed on him. It is a bad position.

To get back to the topic at hand.
He is not specifically and agent of the deep state when he initially ran. They however are using him as a pawn and trying to influence and manuever him to do their bidding. He has giving in on some things and not on others.

Time will be the factor that lets us know the answer to the OPs question.

While I agree with the following, I dont think it stems from Trump's "ideals" of non-interventionism (lol) but rather his pro-Russian bias.

One thing I am pretty sure about the Russians is they are against the bankers. Militarily they help countries who don't want to be taken over by the big banks. I can appreciate that to a certain degree but it does seem to me that they fight an uphill battle. Our military pretty much fights for the big banks and so in that regard Russia could be the enemy of our alignments.

I don't really like Trump or, trust that he knows what to do about world affairs. All I can say about the election is that I am glad Hillary didn't win. She has always given me the creeps. It seems the choice we were given was like being asked do we want to be shot in the heart or the head.
