WASHINGTON DC – President Trump’s administration has told the State Department to cut more than 50 percent of U.S. funding to United Nations programs, Foreign Policy reported.

The push for the drastic reductions comes as the White House is scheduled to release its 2018 topline budget proposal Thursday, which is expected to include a 37 percent cut to the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development budgets.

Why not just leave it? Or at least stop funding it entirely, if he was truly a nationalist he would stop all funding for the UN if it is in his power to do so.

If he cut it 100% there would be whiners saying he should send them a bill and demand the UN pay us. No matter what, some people will not be happy because Trump.

Another good one for Trump this morning. If it wasn't for the rumored CIA Drone thing, I'd be crazy impressed today. Just the same, a 50 percent cut is pretty sweet in my eyes.

Well Congress decides how much Representatives are allotted for staff. Rand and Ron always managed to give some back. Couldn't Trump do the same?

Trump can veto any budget that does not cut UN funding.

This is a major step forward, this is something Ron Paul has been advocating for over forty years now.
