I don't know about you all but I would love to hear every conversation out of Washington. I want to hear every last word all the officials and politician are saying. I hope it turns into a free for all tit for tat wire taping frenzy. It maybe the closest we get to the destruction of the surveillance state.

The Conversation--final scene. Gene Hackman destroys his apartment looking for the bugging device he never finds. I think people connected this with Nixon's paranoia and misdeeds.

Honesty would indeed return, somewhat, to congress. But I would expect more like selective enforcement of what gets leaked and what doesn't.

Selective is what we have now. IF the spooks fall into their partisan camps everything will come out. The factions are turning against each other now trying to take out each others partisan allies. Love it.

Rest assured, they will soon come to a bi-partisan agreement to exempt themselves.
