During President Trump’s address to Congress last night he noted (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-02-28/president-trumps-address-congress-full-text)“Ninety-four million Americans are out of the labor force.”
CNBC, desperate to discredit President’s Trump claim that 94 million are out of workforce, tweeted last night that it is untrue. CNBC then deleted the tweet and “clarified”:

"Clarification:Trump claim that "94M people are out of the labor force" is correct; his past statements that they can't get a job is not true"

Some neutral party finally noticed how ridiculous these pedantic "fact checks" of Trump have gotten. It took much longer than I expected though.

There are always shades. Both parties are trying to score "truth" points.

How many of those 94 million (a correct number) actually want jobs and are looking for one? Most are retired or stay at home parents/ care takers, students, disabled and not looking for work.

Reasons: https://www.bls.gov/web/empsit/cpseea38.htm

Do not Want A Job Now: 88.9 million
Want A Job: 5.9 million

Of those 5.9 million:
Did Not Search for Work In Last Year: 3.6 million
Searched In Past Year But Not in Last Four Weeks: 2.3 million
