I got this information from an organization called the Fully Informed Jury Association. One of their purposes is to "educate people about their rights and full authority as jurors."

They have a DOs & DON'Ts article for jury nullifiers. It starts off by outlining reasons that a jury nullifier might be rejected for jury duty:

1. Talking too much about knowing your power as a juror.
2. Expressing qualms about the law at hand.
3. Revealing that you're educated and have an interest in serving.

Here are some excerpts from that article:

Title: If you are called for Jury Duty

Short of being elected to office yourself, you may never otherwise have a more powerful impact on the rules we live by
than you will as a trial juror.

Judges provide their interpretation of the law, but you may also do your own thinking. Keep in mind that no juror's oath is enforceable, and that you may regard all "instructions" as advice.

Prosecutors often "multiply charges" so the jury will assume the defendant "must be guilty of something." But one of the great mistakes a jury can make is to betray both truth and conscience by compromising. If you believe the defendant is not guilty of anything, then vote "not guilty" on all counts.

Hung juries are "OKAY". If voting your conscience should lead to a hung jury, not to worry, you're doing the responsible thing. There is no requirement that you must reach a verdict.

-Another WIN in Denver!

Yesterday, the Colorado Court of Appeals upheld a district courtís dismissal of false jury tampering charges against juror rights educators Mark Iannicelli and Eric Brandt.

Mark Iannicelli and Eric Brandt were arrested on two separate days at the Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse in Denver, Colorado. They were falsely charged with seven felony counts each of jury tampering for handing out FIJA flyers.
