Most of the advertising TV / Magazines / Newspapers are pharmaceutical companies. If that were stopped, that would wind up sinking the fake news very quickly.

Newspapers worldwide are failing in spectacular fashion. As panicked media conglomerates lose millions of dollars, a think tank has recommended that Canada create a federally funded agency to distribute $400 million a year to failing news organizations which "can no longer afford to fulfill their civic duties." Yes, really!


Also in the US the left has been going nuts over Trump wanting to defund the leftist public broadcasting networks.

When will the NYT ask for their bailout?
