Meet the biker hosting the biggest pro-Trump demonstration at the inauguration

Chris Cox surveyed a small park near the U.S. Capitol, his German shepherd by his side. Wearing a Harley-Davidson jacket and a crocodile-skin cowboy hat adorned with the animal’s teeth atop his moppy, curly hair, Cox made for a particularly discordant sight in the heart of federal Washington on a misty weekend morning.

But Cox had logistics to sort out, an Inauguration Day demonstration with motorcycle die-hards from across the nation to plan.

The 48-year-old chain-saw artist from South Carolina was an early and enthusiastic supporter of President-elect Donald Trump. Now that his guy has won, Cox wants to ensure that the group he founded, Bikers for Trump, strengthens its political muscle during Trump’s presidency and beyond.

The group obtained a permit for what is expected to be the largest pro-Trump rally held by a private group in the nation’s capital timed to the inauguration. Cox calls the planned event at John Marshall Park a “halftime rally” and said there will be speakers, musical performances and upward of 5,000 bikers in attendance.

As he walked through the park with his dog, Trigger — the massive “Bikers for Trump” patch on the back of his jacket visible from every vantage — Cox began planning where to put the stage, the speakers and the portable toilets

Million Women March being planned for January 21, 2017 in D.C.

http://nytlive.nytimes.com/womenintheworld/2016/11/11/million-women-march-being-planned-for-january-21-2017-in-d-c/

On Friday, January 20 in Washington D.C., Donald Trump will be sworn in as the nation’s 45th president. The next day, a demonstration that aims to bring a million women and feminists to the nation’s capital will formally protest his inauguration as commander-in-chief. The idea for the mass protest, which will see marchers begin at the Lincoln Memorial and finish outside of the White House, is nascent — basic plans for the demonstration began popping up on Facebook within the last 24 hours. It appears the organizers are launching Facebook groups in individual states — so far 16 states have pages on the social media network. Organizers seemed to have some technical difficulties with the national page, so one of the local pages has been converted to what will now served as the national page.

Anarchists threaten to disrupt inauguration

http://wtop.com/inauguration/2017/01/anarchists-threaten-to-disrupt-inauguration/

By Dick Uliano January 8, 2017 2:26 pm

WASHINGTON — Next week hundreds of thousands of people will be in town to witness the inauguration of the nation’s 45th president. Police are promising a peaceful transfer of power, but some demonstrators are threatening to cause trouble.

Anarchist groups in New York, Chicago and Seattle are among those who have signed an online pledge to try to disrupt the Jan. 20 inaugural ceremony and parade.

“You will not be able to move around those areas and get close to interrupt things,” said Gary Byrne, a former U.S. Secret Service officer who worked prior inaugural security and was in Seattle in 1999 when anarchists mounted violent protests against the World Trade Organization.

Byrne has also written about his time as a White House Secret Service officer during President Bill Clinton’s presidency in his book “Crisis of Character.”

Byrne said that metal detectors would be deployed at various entry points to inaugural festivities, barring anyone from carrying anything dangerous inside the secured zone.

D.C. interim Police Chief Peter Newsham said police were aware of the online threats and were ready and able to handle them. Newsham has promised a peaceful transfer of power on Inauguration Day.

“I expect there will be some anarchists there, some protestors, that will become physical, and they will get arrested,” Byrne said.

“They actually get training in countering police rioting tactics,” he said.

More than 30 groups have applied for permits to protest at next week’s inauguration, and Byrne predicted that almost all the demonstrations would be peaceful.

“It’s all about the troublemakers. If they show up to make trouble they will be arrested,” said Byrne.

Woman and Friends to Run 240 Miles From New York to DC in Support of Planned Parenthood

Forget sitting in traffic on the way to the Women’s March on Washington over Inauguration weekend — Alison Mariella Désir is running her way from New York City to DC, all in support of Planned Parenthood.

Désir was looking for a way to help the non-profit organization in response to members of Congress and the incoming presidential administration vowing to eliminate its funding.

“I felt like, this is crazy (It is), but I should run from New York to DC for Planned Parenthood, because of the threat of it being defunded,” Désir, 31, tells PEOPLE. “It was so crazy that I was almost afraid to tell people about it, but I called my best friend and she immediately was like, ‘Yes, let’s do it.’ ”

While running 240 miles is a large undertaking, it made sense for Désir, who founded the running group Harlem Runs in her hometown of Harlem, New York, and long turned to the sport in tough times.

“I was thinking about what’s really important to me, and the ways that I’ve built community over the past few years, and for me that’s running,” she explains. “Running for me is really meaningful because I started running distance in 2012 after going through a period of depression. So running has always been a transformational experience for me.”

And making the journey to raise money in support of Planned Parenthood during its time of crisis was a fitting choice, since the organization helped Désir’s friend years ago.

“When I was in high school my class went on a trip to Spain, and one of the women I was with was raped while we were there, and when we got back, the only thing we knew of to do was Planned Parenthood,” Désir says. “If Planned Parenthood hadn’t been there, I don’t know what we would’ve done.”

“And it’s not just instances of rape. Planned Parenthood is such an important resource for people — I knew that was always the intended cause.”

Jeez, it's nothing short of a miracle this thing even got off the ground, lol.

...

The focus of the march has been a work in progress since the idea of a Washington mobilization first bubbled up from a number of women's social media posts in the hours after Trump's election.

The group's November application for a march permit summed up its purpose as to "come together in solidarity to express to the new administration & Congress that women's rights are human rights and our power cannot be ignored."

That phrasing rankled some who thought it was tied too closely to Hillary Clinton, the defeated Democratic nominee, whose famous Beijing speech as first lady declared that "women's rights are human rights." The fact that the initial march organizers were mostly white women also generated grumbling, this time from minorities. Gradually, the march's leadership and its mission statements have become more all-inclusive.

Recent releases from march organizers state the event "intends to send a bold message to the incoming presidential administration on their first day in office, to leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, and to the world, that we stand together in solidarity and expect elected leaders to act to protect the rights of women, their families and their communities."

America Ferrera, leading the celebrity contingent for the march, rolled out a long list of concerns in a statement announcing her role.

"Immigrant rights, worker rights, reproductive rights, LGBTQIA rights, racial justice and environmental rights are not special interests, they affect us all and should be every American's concerns," she wrote.

Other prominent names involved with the march have put a spotlight on one concern — or another.

Actress Scarlett Johansson, who plans to participate, put her focus on the incoming administration's intentions of "reducing the availability of women's health care and attacking her reproductive rights." Actress Debra Messing, listed as a supporter of the march, wrote of the need to protect Planned Parenthood.

Expect thousands of the marchers to turn up wearing hand-knitted pink "pussyhats" — sending a message of female empowerment and pushing back against Trump's demeaning comments about women.

Scan #WhyIMarch posts on social media, and you'll find a wide-ranging list of reasons. A sampling: equal pay for women veterans, fighting chauvinism, empowering daughters, renouncing racism, higher pay for women who are college presidents.

Wadman, the California mom, tweeted a #WhyIMarch photo with her 4-month-old son and this note: "Because when my son asks me about this era of American history I don't want to tell him that I did nothing."

Rutkowski, the American living in Norway, emailed that she's "not completely satisfied" with the mixed messages attached to the march.

"I also don't like— from what I've seen in the news and on Facebook — the proclivity for infighting," she wrote. "But I believe that a quarter of a million female bodies — hopefully more, hopefully men, as well — will make the incoming administration and new Congress aware that we are watching, we are listening and we will resist."

Carmen Perez, one of the march's national organizers, sees beauty in the many messages attached to the march: "Women don't live single-issue lives and we are thrilled to be joined by women who understand and reflect the intersecting issues for which we stand."

Progressives Prepping for Anti-Trump Woman’s March by Making ‘Pussyhats’

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/15/progressives-prepping-for-anti-trump-womans-march-by-making-pussyhats/

Progressive knitters and crocheters around the world are busy making “Pussyhats” to be worn by participants in the media-hyped Woman’s March to take place in Washington, D.C. as part of the organized left’s response to Donald Trump’s election.

“Pussyhats” are pink, knitted, cat-ear headgear, and their manufacture and distribution are being undertaken by the Pussyhat Project, one of the “partners” listed on the website of the Woman’s March scheduled for January 21, 2017.

As the Pussyhat Project’s flier helpfully points out:

We love the clever wordplay of “pussyhat” and “pussycat,” but yes, “pussy” is also a derogatory term for female genitalia. We choose this loaded word for our project because we want to reclaim the term as a means of empowerment.

The group goes on to point out their view that identifying people with female genitalia as females is considered a form of oppression, saying that “in this day and age, if we have pussies we are assigned the gender of ‘woman.’ Women, whether transgender or cisgender, are mistreated in society.”

For those not keeping up with the latest leftist terminology, “cisgender” is defined as “a term for people who have a gender identity that matches the sex that they were assigned at birth.”

As Breitbart News reported, the Planned Parenthood promoted protest is an anti-Trump, pro-abortion-on-demand event that organizers say will defend “the most marginalized among us.” The event doesn’t define unborn babies as among the “most marginalized among us” but it will include marchers wearing Pussyhats.

The stated purpose of the Pussyhat Project is to give marchers “a means to make a unique collective visual statement” and to provide people not attending the march a way to “represent themselves and support women’s right.”

For the DIYers out there, the Pussycat Project website provides instructions on how to create and register hats – as well as how to get hats to marchers.

Your guide to inauguration demonstrations, marches and protests

Students in Montgomery County, Md., protested Donald Trump's election by walking out of class. (Toni L. Sandys/The Washington Post)

In addition to the official festivities and balls, a number of groups will be demonstrating around the Jan. 20 inauguration. Most oppose the Donald Trump administration, though at least one is in favor and one claims neutrality. Here are some of the largest, in chronological order:

Anti-war/anti-nuke rally

Franklin Square Park, I and K streets NW, between 13th and 14th streets; Jan. 19, 4-8 p.m.

What it is: An anti-Trump rally (permit pending) with speakers including former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and a variety of punk and hip-hop groups, organized by the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign and the Revolutionary Road Radio Show.
Their message: “We want to express our concern about buildup of nuclear weapons, especially in light of the recent statements made by Trump and the continued, failed war on terror,” says Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign spokesman Bruce Wright. “In our own country, we have neglected the poor and homeless for the sake of war.”
If you go: The rally is part of an ongoing program of events set for Jan. 19-22, including a picnic and drum circle that Sunday at noon.

#Trump420 march
20th and P streets NW and then proceeding toward the National Mall; Jan. 20, 8 a.m.-4:20 p.m.
What it is: Local marijuana advocacy group DCMJ will begin handing out 4,200 free joints (which is legal under D.C. law) to protesters at 8 a.m. The group will begin marching (without a permit) toward the National Mall at 10 a.m. with plans to light up 4 minutes and 20 seconds into Trump’s speech.
Their message: “Trump has gone on record saying it’s up to states to decide on medical cannabis laws, but we’re not a state,” DCMJ co-founder Nikolas Schiller says. “We are trying to encourage President-elect Trump to support cannabis reform and push Congress to remove cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act. He has the power to create jobs, create tax revenue and help fix the broken criminal justice system.”
If you go: Bring your ID, because organizers will not pass out joints to anyone under 21, per D.C. law. Also note that this unpermitted march can easily get you arrested, especially if you choose to smoke in public (illegal under D.C. law) or simply possess marijuana on federal land, such as the National Mall (illegal under federal law).

Protest at the Inauguration: Stand Against Trump, War, Racism and Inequality
Freedom Plaza, 1355 Pennsylvania Ave. NW; Jan. 20, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
What it is: Organized by the ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), this permitted protest will take place directly on the inauguration parade route.
Their message: “Our goal is to say no to the Trump agenda,” ANSWER spokeswoman Sarah Sloan says. “We are standing with the communities most under attack by Trump and his incoming administration and Cabinet, including the Muslim community and immigrants. We’re calling out Trump as a racist and a sexist and a bigot and sending the message that people are going to stand up against him and his administration.”
If you go: Organizers advise showing up early to establish a strong, anti-Trump presence along the parade route. “We are going to have a stage with speakers and DJs, so there’s a lot going on all day,” Sloan says. Since this protest is within the secured area adjacent to the inauguration parade, all the usual parade route rules apply.

#DisruptJ20 Festival of Resistance
Union Station’s Columbus Circle, 50 Massachusetts Ave. NE; Jan. 20, noon-3 p.m.
What it is: Organized by the D.C. Counter-Inaugural Welcoming Committee, this march will parallel the inauguration parade route a few streets away. It will end at McPherson Square at around 2 p.m., followed by a rally until about 3 p.m.
Their message: “Establishment people say we need to ensure a peaceful transition of power at all costs,” says #DisruptJ20 organizer Legba Carrefour. “They value the continuity of the government over stopping a fascist. We are calling for a non-peaceful transition. We want to delegitimize this government and set the tone for the next four years.” That said, the march’s organizers have applied for a permit and the event should be peaceful, though other actions the group is planning aim to create chaos at security checkpoints. “We are going to make things a total clusterf—,” Carrefour says.
If you go: Consider attending a training session (on topics such as how to interact with police) before the event, or drop by the McPherson Square gathering space between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily beginning on Tuesday, Carrefour says.

Bikers for Trump Halftime Rally
John Marshall Park, Pennsylvania Avenue NW, between Fourth and Fifth streets; Jan. 20, 1 p.m.
What it is: A pro-Trump rally that will take place after the swearing-in and before the inauguration parade. “It’ll start with the Pledge of Allegiance, ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and a prayer,” Bikers for Trump founder Chris Cox says. The rally may also include speakers and performances, he says.
Their message: “It’s a ‘suck it up, buttercup’ kind of thing. We understand a lot of people are coming in to protest and they really need to get over it, because our country has spoken … and it’s time to move forward,” Cox says.
If you go: The rally is within the secured area, so arrive early, dress warmly and adhere to official regulations. And while this is a rally for motorcycle riders, you can’t actually bring your bike to the event.

Women’s March on Washington
Independence Avenue and Third Street SW; Jan. 21, 10 a.m.
What it is: The massive permitted gathering will begin with a rally — featuring celebrities like Amy Schumer, Katy Perry, Cher, America Ferrera and Uzo Aduba — and then turn into a march to the southern part of the Ellipse near the White House. “We are not a protest march,” says Jackie Savage, an organizer with the event’s D.C. chapter. “It is a peaceful march saying, ‘We are here. Hear our voice.’” That description may be useful information for any federal workers who want to join the march but are restricted from attending protests, she adds.
Their message: “We are marching to promote women’s equality and defend other marginalized groups,” Savage says, speaking for the D.C. chapter.
If you go: Visit their website for a list of allowed items and register in advance so organizers have an accurate head count.

Code Pink awakens after eight years of continuous war and drone bombings, with little more than a peep from them.

Exclusive: CODEPINK Vows ‘Audacious Protests’ at Trump Inauguration

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/19/exclusive-codepink-vows-to-continue-beautiful-disruptions-during-trump-presidency/

by Aaron Klein19 Jan 2017

The CODEPINK left-wing activist organization is planning “audacious and creative, colorful protests” targeting the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump on Friday, Ariel Gold, CODEPINK’s campaign director, told Breitbart News in an interview.

Further asked whether CodePink will attempt to disrupt the inauguration, a tactic for which her organization has become infamous, Gold replied:

“We always create beautiful disruptions of hatred and violence. And that is what we are committed to as an organization and that is something that we have done from the start. And it is something that we will continue to do. And that is because we support life and health and health care and safety for all human beings.”

CODEPINK yesterday distributed a press release with the organization’s inauguration protest schedule. The agenda includes a “pussy hat distribution,” referring to support for the Pussyhat Project, which seeks to get women to wear knitted pink caps with cat ears to protest Trump.

Also on the CODEPINK agenda is a protest against Trump’s Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration Concert at the Lincoln Memorial and an event against what CODEPINK is calling “the Fascist Alt-Right ‘Deploraball’” – referring to a pro-Trump inauguration party at the National Press Club.

Gold told Breitbart News that CODEPINK will be joining the news-making DisruptJ20 anti-Trump inauguration coalition for a march as well as for other select events, “but we are also very much bringing our own flavor and loving resistance.”

She stated, “We will be bringing as we always do audacious and creative, colorful protests to the inauguration of Donald J. Trump. And we will be doing so to contrast the hate that he put forth through his run for the presidency and has continued as he has been the President-elect. So, we will really be countering that with a beautiful resistance of love and putting forth the kind of world that we all want to live in. Which is one where we build bridges rather than walls. And we support refugees and immigrants. And promote tolerance rather than division and racism.”

Asked if she was troubled by reports that DisruptJ20 may be planning actions that go beyond the rule of law, Gold replied, “If we are going to talk about the rule of law, I really would like to talk about how Trump’s presidency and inauguration is beyond the rule of both U.S. law, international law as well as the law of humanity.”

This reporter inquired how Trump’s election is “against U.S. law if Trump if was legally elected in a legal election. Elected then by the Electoral College. Then certified. So how is it against the law?”

Gold retorted, “I really want to begin by saying that Trump was not elected by the people. And that the majority of the people do not support Trump here in America. But I wasn’t actually speaking about that. I was speaking about the promotion of hatred and the intent to go back (on) civil rights as being in opposition to current U.S. law that we have.”

Claiming the group stands for the vast majority of Americans, DisruptJ20 calls itself the “start of the resistance. We must take to the streets and protest, blockade, disrupt, intervene, sit in, walk out, rise up, and make more noise and good trouble than the establishment can bear. The parade must be stopped.”

DisruptJ20 is planning a slew of actions aimed, as the group relates, at “disrupting the ceremonies.” According to the website, those actions include “spontaneous, unpermitted events,” an “unpermitted, anticapitalist march,” civil disobedience and disruption plans.

CODEPINK, meanwhile, has a history of infiltrating and briefly disrupting events, including the confirmation hearing for CIA Director John Brennan; a Senate hearing at which Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel was testifying about the threat posed by the Islamic State; Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s 2011 address to Congress, and many others.

From memories/impressions at that time... (not analysis)
he was just our first big 'pussy' in the WH (following Gerald Ford who was also a wuss).... the Soviets invaded Afghanistan.... gave back the Panama Canal... Iran had their Khomeni revolution/Americans were kidnapped/held hostage for months... he (finally) authorized a Special Op rescue mission that failed spectacularly.. there was double digit inflation / prices on EVERYTHING rose at the store: hamburger / yougurt cups etc. it sucked after YEARS of stable prices... he just gave the overall impression of impotency. Sound familiar?

In other news, the Doles are there. I have met Elizabeth Dole, and she is truly a beautiful woman. Hasn't aged a bit in 20 years.

Carters are there. Very frail, but not bad since the president has been battling brain cancer. Bush 41s are in the hospital and sent a gracious letter to President Trump. Bush 43s are there. Laura always looks so poised and sweet. The Clintons are there, stone faced as usual. The Cheneys are there. He looks about as healthy as he has ever looked since his transplant.

Melania Trump is gorgeous in light blue Chanel. No hat, but a simple updo.

I'm watching a little behind where the ceremonies are. They are announcing the former presidents and spouses. Carters look frail and cheerful. Clintons about how you would expect. The Bush 43s look really good. W just hugged Justice Thomas.

Motorcade has just arrived. Michelle Obama is wearing a dark berry red dress and coat. Good color for her. She has a nice updo.

They are introducing the Pence kids. Not too shabby for people who have had the spotlight suddenly thrown on them.

Trump kids are about to come in. Women seem to be mostly in white. Ivanka in slacks with an interesting asymetrical coat. Tiffani is in a white coat with ankle boots.

Crowd is getting a little rowdy. Trump! Trump! Trump! Yikes.

Trump looks very serious and a bit isolated from the busy-ness around him.

He probably got "the talk" earlier today, where they explain to him about the nuclear football:

...
Confronting the reality of nuclear war has left past presidents deeply moved, even shaken. In his 1999 memoir, Bill Clinton’s former spokesman George Stephanopoulos described seeing Clinton emerge from his nuclear briefing, held at 7 a.m. on the day of his inauguration.

“The man who would soon command the most powerful military force in the world emerged … silent and more somber than I’d ever seen him,” Stephanopoulos wrote.

Clinton wasn’t the only one moved. Stephanopoulos recalled that George H.W. Bush’s outgoing national security adviser, retired Gen. Brent Scowcroft, “slipped out of Blair House and into the street with tears reddening the rims of his eyes.”

Trump himself has spoken about the horror of nuclear weapons. “I’d be the last one to use the nuclear weapons, because that’s sort of like the end of the ballgame,” he said at a March 2016 MSNBC town hall.

But at the same event, Trump refused to rule out the use of nuclear arms, and cited the Islamic State as a possible target if “somebody hits us.”

Sources familiar with the shadowy world of the U.S. nuclear establishment said that Trump would customarily be briefed by the outgoing national security adviser, Susan Rice, along with the White House military aide responsible for the so-called nuclear football. Trump would likely be joined by his incoming national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

If the recent past is a guide, Trump’s briefing will occur Friday morning at Blair House, where Trump plans to spend Thursday night. Like Clinton, Obama in 2009 took his nuclear briefing on the morning of his inauguration, just before heading to an 8:30 a.m. church service.

Yes. When the words "Islamic Terrorism" came out of DJT's mouth, he washed away part of Obama's legacy 10 minutes after being sworn into the position. If you rewatch it (CNN broadcast), Obama is on screen as the words come out of DJT's mouth and he is stone faced and looking unimpressed.

The crowd cheers at the thought of stopping terrorism, naming the source (Islamic terror/ISIS) and most people are smiling at that thought.

Survey: 28 Percent of Federal Workers May Quit Their Jobs Once Trump Assumes Office

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/19/survey-28-percent-federal-workers-may-quit-jobs-trump-assumes-office/

by Katherine Rodriguez19 Jan 2017

Some federal government employees are considering leaving their jobs when President-elect Trump assumes office, according to a new survey.

“More than one in four federal workers, or 28 percent, will definitely or possibly consider leaving their jobs after Jan. 20 when Trump is sworn into office and becomes leader of the executive branch,” according to the survey conducted by the Government Business Council and Government Executive, both groups that track trends in government.

Half of those surveyed said that Trump’s business experience would “hinder his management of the federal government” while two-thirds of people think Trump’s business relationships pose a conflict of interest.

Half of those who said they were leaving are retirement-eligible and have considered an early retirement, while 37 percent of people would look for a job outside federal government, the analysis said.

Only one percent of respondents said they would quit without having a plan for their next move, while an additional 12 percent of people said they were unsure of what they would do.

A survey by the same groups taken before the election showed that 35 percent of government workers would consider quitting their jobs if Trump won the election.

It would look better if the coat were entirely blue - a darker blue - and the hat had a dark blue hatband to tie it together.

This looks like she had it custom made and she told them "make it resemble a revolutionary soldier's coat" - possibly she feels it's an analogy for the work she's done/will do?

I have a classic black wool coat like that which I bought back in the 80's - only it has more buttons. More buttons = much cooler! Still wear it sometimes. Will probably never get rid of it even though it has a lot of worn spots, cigarette burns and the lining is shredded. Have never been able to find another one like it for under, like 6 or 7 hundred dollars.

Today's ceremony, however, has a very special meaning because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people.

For too long, a small group in our nation's capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have bore the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered but the jobs left and the factories closed.

The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs. And while they celebrated in our nation's capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes starting right here and right now, because this moment is your moment.

It belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.

This is your day.

This is your celebration.

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people.

Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come. We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done.

Every four years we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power.

And we are grateful to President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition.

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. Everyone is listening to you now. You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement, the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families and good jobs for themselves.

These are just and reasonable demands of righteous people and a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists.

Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities, rusted out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation.

An education system flush with cash but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of all knowledge.

And the crime and the gangs and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation, and their pain is our pain.

Their dreams are our dreams, and their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.

For many decades we've enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry, subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military.

We've defended other nations' borders while refusing to defend our own. And we've spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas while America's infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

We've made other countries rich while the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon.

One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores with not even a thought about the millions and millions of American workers that were left behind.

The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed all across the world. But that is the past, and now we are looking only to the future.

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land.

From this day forward, it's going to be only America first, America first. Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our product, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength. I will fight for you with every breath in my body, and I will never ever let you down.

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our jobs.

We will bring back our borders.

We will bring back our wealth, and we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new roads and highways and bridges and airports and tunnels and railways all across our wonderful nation.

We will get our people off of welfare and back to work, rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor.

We will follow two simple rules: Buy American and hire American.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world, but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first.

We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example.

We will shine for everyone to follow.

We will re-enforce old alliances and form new ones and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth.

At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.

When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable. There should be no fear. We are protected and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement. And most importantly, we will be protected by God.

Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger. In America, we understand that a nation is only living as long as it is striving. We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action, constantly complaining but never doing anything about it.

The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action.

Do not allow anyone to tell you that it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America. We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again.

We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow.

A new national pride will stir ourselves, lift our sights and heal our divisions. It's time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget, that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots.

We all enjoy the same glorious freedoms and we all salute the same great American flag.

And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the windswept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty creator.

So to all Americans in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, from ocean to ocean, hear these words: You will never be ignored again. Your voice, your hopes and your dreams will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.

Together we will make America strong again, we will make America wealthy again, we will make America proud again, we will make America safe again.

And, yes, together we will make America great again.

Thank you.

God bless you.

And God bless America."

The one person Trump left out of his speech

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/20/the-one-person-trump-left-out-of-his-speech-commentary.html

Jake Novak | jakejakeny

Did you notice something funny about President Donald Trump's inaugural address? That he, um ... left someone out?

In what was probably the most populist inaugural address in American presidential history, President Trump began with the people, continued with the people, and ended with the people.

It seemed like the first time in his very long public life that he didn't at least carve out a significant portion of a speech to talk about ... himself!

He kept it about the people by specifically addressing problems that he's seen, but certainly not experienced on a personal level. President Trump talked about the empty factories and the crime-ridden inner cities.

Each and every promise was prefaced with the word "we." As in "We will ... unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism" and "We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world."

He didn't even say the government would unite the country, as he insisted Americans' own patriotism will heal the racial and cultural divide.

Speaking of keeping the government and himself out of it, President Trump didn't even mention how he intends to cut taxes and regulations. In fact, that omission may be why Wall Street didn't exactly soar on the speech. It doesn't mean the Trump administration won't do those things, but it does mean that the new president decided that a speech dedicated entirely to the people was more appropriate for this inaugural address.

For those of you keeping score at home, he said "we" more than 50 times during the speech and only said "I" three times. And even then, it was in more of an "I'm with you" kind of way:

"The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans."

"Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength. I will fight for you with every breath in my body, and I will never ever let you down."

In the biggest sign of personal humility, President Trump invoked the name of God more than once during the speech. For example, near the end he said, "The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity."

That's not something we're used to when it comes to Mr. Trump, and neither was an entire speech without one bit about his personal accomplishments or opponents he'd overcome.

The problem with most populist leaders is that they usually become less about the people the more power they get. If this speech is any indication, President Trump is trying to finally make his time in office about something other than himself.

I have my issues with this, but, for the most part, I am very much in favor of the tone it set.

Cautious optimism remains.

They have been magnificent.

Thank you.

I'll take it...

Early on I was a big critic but the more time passes the more I think this is a fantastic opportunity for "THE PEOPLE". There is opportunity here...ffs it could have been Clinton and the NWO AGAIN.

Had Trump sat this run out it would of been a CLINTON VS A BUSH in the end, I think.

THE HORROR.

For that alone I hope Americans are thankful for today and although I'm Canadian I'm thankful for that, even if it ends up only being that.

As bad as Trump might be? Clinton or Jeb would have been 10x worse. Especially that Klingon Hilary.

I hope Americans seize the next 4 years and run with it. If that happens in any meaningful way give the man a 2nd term.

Is my ancap avatar not showing up?:)

I'm an ideological ancap but that doesn't mean I can't see the meaning in changes of mass behavior in relation to politics, government and as is now, big government.

The fact that you're an ancap means very little to me in this regard be cause I myself at it's logical conclusion am a full out anarcho-capitalist based on the purely voluntary transactions of sovereign individuals. Yep, for real. If it ever happens, it's not happening overnight. That I can promise you. It will be built over time, intellectually/spiritually and in the physical world.

Having a President who is for the People by the People is and would be a MASSIVE step for the people of the USA and their ability to limit that executive power and to have power spread around so THE PEOPLE can make the decisions.

I think Trump is very likely to be genuine in his desire to MAGA.

That alone represents a break in a trend. The trend is that the last 4 Presidents have been self-serving twats preying upon America and striving toward centralization. 2 Bushes, a Clinton and an Obombya. None have given a flying F&*K about America or Americans. I actually don't believe that of Trump at all.

This is day one.

Global warming already pulled from FED.GOV main site as AF pointed out.

If limiting the government is your quest BREXIT, Trump, Le Pen (I think she's going to win in France) are big shots against the bow of the NWO (which is the biggest big gov of all). They are popular reclamation projects of SOVEREIGNTY.

Even the most Aspie ancap is capable of seeing the SHIFT that has occurred.

It is a shift - not an end place - but this shift was REQUIRED to get anywhere near the ANCAP vision and the American vision (which is very ancap!).

Then-CBS host Harry Smith saw the inauguration as where “the secular and the religious” merged. He gushed, “So it was that as many as two million pilgrims made their way to Washington and the Mall to witness this most sacred event.”

Statism is the worship of government. I can't imagine that people worship government. On the other hand, it is natural to be somewhat nationalistic. It is normal and natural to rally around a leader. The President is not a ruler, according to the Constitution. He is a leader.

Statism is the worship of government. I can't imagine that people worship government.
It's been taught in skools for more than a century. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BasKB5lX0dQ/TsqBpwPUyMI/AAAAAAAADHk/nI9AFooRNMI/s1600/Bellamy2.jpg It became a priority in the post civil war era to wipe out notions of individualism. Even moreso in the 20th century as Total Statism became popular in the West.

On the other hand, it is natural to be somewhat nationalistic. It is normal and natural to rally around a leader. The President is not a ruler, according to the Constitution. He is a leader.

What the Constitution says and what is in practice today are very different things, as you know. It's actually more natural to be more proud of your neighborhood, hometown, and state than a country. The latter is extremely vague and impersonal. Nationalism is very un-natural and has to be drilled into a child with propaganda and psychological reinforcement.

They have been magnificent.

Thank you.

I'm most interested to see how that plays out. If Trump is even half-serious about these foreign policy changes, I hope he broke off a piece of that glass in front of the podium and tucked it under his shirt. There's going to be a lot of powerful people looking to promote Pence.

hb34, I really disagree with you. How many times do you watch an athlete win a medal and not be very moved when their flag goes up? These things are normal and natural. I live in about as diverse a neighborhood as there can be, and they all feel loyalty to the lands of their birth and to their new homeland.

Nobody is worshipping the government here. It is normal to mark milestones with ceremonies and celebrations. If people go crazy every four years, what's the harm? Bands are awesome. Parades are awesome. Precision marching is awesome.

“Hey, Donald Trump,” said Shane Bouvet, with all the casualness of a 24-year-old.

The president-elect beamed back: “This is the greatest guy.”

The unlikely meeting occurred after Trump said he read a profile of Bouvet in The Washington Post and was impressed by his story. Bouvet, a struggling single father, had spent nights working and days volunteering on Trump’s unlikely presidential campaign.

The volunteer efforts earned Bouvet an invite to an inaugural ball. But just weeks ago he was unsure he could pay for a proper suit and shoes to wear for the festivities. A friend stepped in and bought a suit and got the shoes donated.

Now, improbably, it was the night before the swearing-in and Bouvet had picked his way past the Secret Service and was hanging out with the president-elect, top Trump advisers Reince Priebus and Stephen K. Bannon and the first-lady-to-be Melania Trump. The meeting occurred in a holding room just minutes before Trump was to take the stage for pre-inauguration concert at the Lincoln Memorial.

Tears welled in Bouvet’s eyes. Trump signed an autograph for Bouvet. Then, they decided to call Bouvet’s father in Stonington, Ill.

“Hey, Dad,” Bouvet said with the call on speakerphone. “I’m with Donald Trump.”

“Hey, Don, you have a great name,” Trump laughed, complimenting Bouvet’s father on the name they shared. “You have a good boy.”

After the call, Trump signed an autograph for Bouvet’s 4-year-old son. Trump asked Bouvet if he was still with the mother of his child. Bouvet said no, and the thrice-married Trump said, “That happens.”

Then he looked at the autographs he had scribbled, and made a prediction: “After that, she’ll have you back. You’ll be a great celebrity.”

Eventually, Trump and his staff posed for photographs with Bouvet and offered him a round of applause. At the end, Trump put his hand on Bouvet’s back and told an aide, “Send him a check for $10,000.”

Bouvet broke down and cried.

With that and a round of goodbyes, an aide ushered Bouvet out of the tent. Bouvet wiped tears from his eyes as he melted back into the tens of thousands that had gathered for the concert.

“Did that just happen?” he asked out loud.

Whose Resume Says “Qualified?”

Karen De Coster

https://www.lewrockwell.com/lrc-blog/whose-resume-says-qualified/

I’m not a Trumpster, but all this talk about “qualifications for President” is amusing. Using the mainstream definition of that term, Herr Obama is the most unqualified President of modern times, if not for all time. A state senator with no history of any accomplishments, billionaire Communist George Soros planted him in the US Senate as a stepping stone to big-boy politics. As a new, know-nothing, unknown Senator, Obama began planning his run for the presidency funded by the Soros machine with no public profile, no qualifications. Meanwhile, Leftists sit back in latte cafes with their peeps and exclaim how a billionaire entrepreneur who has spent his whole life dealing, building, creating jobs, and making profits is “unqualified” to take over the executive office.

Wonder why Chuck Shumer was speaking at the inauguration, perhaps they cut a deal if he cooperates with some issues, he gets a speaking slot. Either way no reason for a fully GOP controlled congress and White House to let a democrat have that big of a spotlight.

Top Dem: Trump speech included new attack on John Lewis
By Mike Lillis - 01/20/17

A top Democrat says he heard new attacks on Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) in President Trump’s inaugural address Friday.
Trump did not mention Lewis by name in his speech shortly after his swearing-in at the Capitol.
But he criticized unnamed “politicians” for being “all talk and no action” — an allusion to Trump's feud with Lewis, according to Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.).

"Not John Lewis; just don't go there," Cleaver, former head of the Congressional Black Caucus, said afterward.

In his address, Trump ripped lawmakers who he said were full of hot air.
"We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action — constantly complaining but never doing anything about it," he said. "The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action."

Best response I've run into so far (not my work)

Remember this, everyone. Soak this in. Today the media has discovered an intense interest in political demonstrations. As thousands of women descend upon DC to whine about the legitimate results of a legal election, incoherently demand "rights" they already possess and have possessed for almost a century, insist on more free birth control, and call for the continued mass slaughter of infants, the media is in a state of utter elation.I turned on CNN for a few minutes and they had dozens of reporters staged all throughout the march, as well as a team of reporters stationed at the "sister marches" across the globe. I've heard over and over again that this march is "historic" and among the biggest ever. They've never seen anything like this. What a beautiful spectacle. What an inspiration. Blah blah etc and so forth.

But, as I peer into the future, I can see a really bizarre phenomenon. Mysteriously, out of nowhere, the media's obsession with covering political marches will completely dissipate. This will happen in precisely 6 days. Strangely, it will coincide with the exact moment when hundreds of thousands of pro-life women and men come to DC to protest abortion. The March For Life will be significantly larger than the "Women's March." I know this for a fact because the March For Life is always the largest political demonstration in America. No left wing protest has ever come close or will ever come close. Yet the media will ignore it. I know this because the media always ignores it.
Looked at objectively, the March For Life is quite a bit more newsworthy than the temper tantrum happening today. For one thing, there are more people. For another, the people are actually protesting something real. For still another, the March For Life represents 40 years of sustained pro-life activism, as opposed to this momentary blip on the radar screen.
If you want to understand why people utterly detest the media and everything it represents, just turn on the TV today. And then turn it on next Friday. That will tell you everything you need to know. Truly despicable.

Crowd Sizes Matter To The Media Only When The Cause is Liberal

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/444096/media-doesnt-care-about-big-crowds-unless-they-are-liberal

Dan McLaughlin January 21, 2017 2:10 PM

Media and social media liberals have been breathless the past two days over the contrast between the relatively small crowds for President Trump’s inauguration and (1) the large crowds at President Obama’s 2009 inauguration and (2) the large crowds gathering in DC and a number of other big, liberal cities across the country for today’s “Women’s March,” which purports to be a popular movement against Trump but which has pointedly excluded pro-life women.

Three points to bear in mind. One, it was not long ago at all – as recently as the afternoon of Election Day – when liberals were broadly united in scorning crowd sizes as a measure of popularity. As you may recall, a number of pundits had pointed to the crowds drawn by Mitt Romney in 2012 and Sarah Palin in 2008 as a sign of Republican enthusiasm, and they decisively lost the argument to Nate Silver and other data analysts who derided the idea that crowd sizes trumped polls. In 2016, Trump drew yuge crowds all across the country, and he and his supporters bragged about them incessantly. While polls were still a better way of looking at the world than crowd sizes, those crowds did speak to how he activated a particularly devoted segment of the electorate, and certainly everyone on the Democratic side was united all the way through the election in snarking at the significance of Trump’s crowds. It’s hard to credit the sincerity of those same people now getting excited about crowd sizes.

Two, there are obvious reasons of geography, demographics, and history why Obama in 2009 in particular drew large crowds for his inauguration, and Trump did not. Obama was enormously popular in DC and its surrounding areas, winning well over 90% of the vote in the District and carrying Maryland and Northern Virginia by wide margins; Trump did especially badly in those areas in the primaries and the general election. It’s always easier to get people to show up to an event within an hour’s drive than to travel in from Michigan or Iowa or Western Pennsylvania.

That’s doubly true of poor and working-class people who can’t easily take multiple days off of work and pay for hotel rooms and travel (Obama’s inauguration was on a Tuesday in 2009, a Sunday in 2013; Trump’s was on a Friday). And of course, today’s marches are hard to compare, since they’re distributed across the country and held on a Saturday. Also, it’s hardly surprising that Obama drew big crowds in 2009, given that a lot of people who knew or cared little about his politics were inspired by the simple fact of inaugurating the first African-American president.

It was already true that Hillary won tremendous support in the big cities of America, while Trump did unusually poorly there and unusually well in rural areas, so you would expect that marches and demonstrations held in big, media-friendly cities would paint an asymmetrical portrait of a nation of Hillary backers.

Three, the liberal and media enthusiasm for touting large crowds as a sign of popular sentiment is roughly 100% certain to evaporate completely next Friday when the March for Life comes to Washington to commemorate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and pray and protest for its reversal and the extension of legal protection to all human life in the United States. Held annually for four decades, the March for Life routinely draws massive crowds in DC, as well as local events across the nation, and just as routinely gets a tiny fraction of the media coverage that is being lavished on today’s marches.

Crowd sizes for the March for Life are impossible to ascertain with certainty, in part because of the enormity of the crowds, and in part because the Park Service stopped doing official crowd-size estimates following a threatened lawsuit from Louis Farrakhan twenty years ago. The Wikipedia page for the March, collecting a number of news reports, offers this: Between 2003 and 2009, the march had an attendance of around 250,000,[2] but this number has since increased. The 2011 and 2012 marches drew an estimated 400,000 each, the 2013 march drew an estimated 650,000.[3][4]

Now, organizers of events on all sides of the political spectrum tend to overstate crowd sizes, today’s and the March for Life included; that’s precisely why Farrakhan objected when the Park Service counted a lot less than a million men for his Million Man March. But even discounting some of that 650,000 high-end figure, virtually any reliable source on the March for Life acknowledges the sprawling size of the annual turnout, year in and year out, including busloads arriving from Catholic parishes and colleges across the country.

But the media annually yawns and treats this simply as a ho-hum part of the annual DC landscape, not as a sign of broad popular resistance, after all these years, to the brutality of abortion, and tends to bury the story far from the front page. I can predict with great confidence that they will do so again this year.

Is Trump an unusually unpopular new president? Yes, absolutely he is, by any number of polling measurements; even a great many of his hold-my-nose-and-stop-Hillary voters remain skeptical of the man.

Is he likely to be a galvanizing force that allows the Democrats to regroup and reorganize? Probably. And the ability to draw crowds to today’s marches could be the start of that process, as it was for the Tea Party in 2009. It could also be a dead end of preaching to the converted and dividing into increasingly narrow ideological factions, as Occupy Wall Street was.

It won’t achieve much of anything if the people marching today are almost all people who already voted for Hillary. That all remains to be seen. Democrats may end up learning nothing at all from 2016, and needing to learn nothing, if Trump turns out to be a disaster in office. But the ability to draw crowds consisting mainly of people in big cities who were already reliable Democratic voters doesn’t necessarily tell us very much we didn’t already know. And don’t expect the people telling you otherwise to get excited about the crowds at the March for Life.

Limo that was burned by the communists protesting in DC belonged to a Muslim immigrant. His driver was hospitalized and is out 70K.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/limo-torched-in-dc-protests-belongs-to-muslim-immigrant-may-cost-70000-in-damages/article/2612747

The limousine that was set on fire during the anti-Trump anarchist protest in downtown Washington on Inauguration Day is owned by a Muslim immigrant who says the damage could cost his company $70,000.

Muhammad Ashraf, the owner of Nationwide Chauffeur Services, spoke with the Washington Examiner's sister publication, Red Alert Politics, about what happened:

In an exclusive interview with Red Alert Politics, Ashraf said he wasn't a supporter of Donald Trump during his campaign, but Friday's protests were completely counter-productive.

"I have a different point of view," Ashraf told Red Alert. "I did not agree with many of the things he said, but that still does not give me the right to go and affect someone's livelihood."

Ashraf noted that the Women's March on Washington and in other cities around the country was a model for how to peacefully protest.

"I really don't think we need to take this [violent] route."

Ashraf's employee, Luis Villarroel, 58, was dropping a client off at their destination when things turned ugly. Protesters smashed doors and windows in the vicinity, but then turned their attention to Villarroel and the limo. People began pounding on the car and started throwing stones and bricks in his direction. The driver ended up going to the hospital for cuts on his hands and arms from glass being shattered by thrown projectiles. […]

"[We've] been in business for over 25 years and this is the first time this has happened," Ashraf said.

The Women’s March Goes From ‘Hundreds of Thousands’ to ‘Hundreds’

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2020/01/womens-march-goes-hundreds-thousands-hundreds-daniel-greenfield/

The snow defeats the snowflakes.

Mon Jan 20, 2020 Daniel Greenfield

Three years ago, the Women’s March brought a million anti-Trump protesters to Washington D.C.

This year, 25,000 people signed up online. That was unrealistically optimistic because organizers had only obtained a permit for up to 10,000 protesters. And they only ended up with thousands.

Impeachment should have encouraged a bigger turnout, but the snowflakes couldn’t handle the snow.

The first person quoted in D.C.’s WUSA9 report explained that she couldn’t come because, "it’s supposed to be really cold and snowy and that is definitely a factor for me."

There were few pink hats among those who did show up and a lot of black and brown winter gear. Among the few march attendees to wear pink was a bedraggled dog in a pink halter, pinks slacks, white socks and Mary Janes, while her owner waved a sign reading, “Public Cervix Announcement.”

Another dog, missing two legs, looking utterly miserable, was draped in a coat and a pink wreath while trying to move forward over the slick street on wheels while wearing a, “I’m With Her” sign.

A third dog’s sign read, “Fight like a dog for equality.” If the dog were equal, it wouldn’t be here.

At times it seemed as if there were more dogs than people burdened with trite feminist signs. And more vendors selling march paraphernalia than there were march attendees to actually wear it.

The Women’s March had not lost its capacity for its feminist bookstore brand of embarrassing stunts, but the people weren’t showing up, and the participants were being reduced to animal cruelty.

And then a blindfolded Chilean feminist collective in red jumpsuits disharmoniously performed a song in Spanish to remind everyone that the Women’s March was also capable of human cruelty.

There were the expected feminists wearing red Handmaid’s Tale costumes and the drag queens because nothing says fighting for women’s rights like a man in a wig dressed up to look like Marilyn Monroe.

The Women’s March was there to attack President Trump. But he wasn’t in D.C. No one really was.

And the weather wasn’t kind to the marchers who had come out to protest against not only President Trump, but global warming. The sleet turned their paper and cardboard signs into brightly colored mush. Only the truly dedicated hard-core Communists could keep going in the snow and sleet.

A Washington Post reporter tweeted a video of a group of Revolutionary Communist Party marchers singing their song and carrying a banner praising Chairman Bob Avakian while incorrectly identifying them as "Virginia residents" who were "celebrating the ERA vote."

That’s like describing a Nazi rally as local Munich residents protesting against the outcome of WW1.

But the media has always deliberately mischaracterized the political extremism of lefty protests, calculatedly refusing to report on the Trotskyists and assorted professional cranks who fuel them. Coverage of the decline in attendance at the Women’s March due to revelations about anti-Semitism and support for Farrakhan among its former and current leaders has been sparse.

USA Today quoted Carmen Perez, a Farrakhan supporter who serves as co-chair, without mentioning anti-Semitism. It is inconceivable that a conservative organization whose leaders had pledged allegiance to David Duke, Richard Spencer, and the Groypers would have gotten that kind of pass from the media.

But it was hard to cover up the fact that the Women’s March in D.C. had gone to the Commies and the dogs, and could barely manage to turn out a fraction of the million activists it had once unleashed.

With Jews and blacks both boycotting the Women’s March (Black Lives Matter is feuding with its fellow hate group), all that was left were the angry WASP Communists descended from the Mayflower who had to listen to a Chilean feminist collective while cold sleet ran down their pink hats and black signs.

The weather wasn’t on the side of the Women’s March in New York City either.

The New York’s Women’s March was such a disaster that it made the D.C. march look like a success.

In 2017, the Women’s March in New York City had boasted of 400,000 attendees. This year, 400. Media accounts described “hundreds” of attendees. That surely wasn’t what Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had been expecting when he arrived at the event to shake hands while wearing black gloves.

Schumer might have been afraid of the cooties of the pink hat brigade. But, more likely, the snow.

Once again, the winter weather defeated the Gaia worshipers who believe that everything from Australian wildfires to the election of President Trump is the expression of Mother Earth’s wrath.

It was cold. It was wet. And there were two competing Women’s Marches in Manhattan.

This year, the two competing marches, one against the organization’s racist leadership and the other for it, were supposed to come together and unite. The weather however had other plans and it began to snow. Just like in D.C., snowflakes began to pepper the snowflakes who wanted to fight global warming.

And the reunion of the two marches at Times Square, where the dueling feminists and racists of the two Women’s Marches could have competed for attention with the El Salvadoran illegal aliens dressed as Disney characters who mug tourists for photos and spare changes, never did take place.

Since there were only a few hundred of them, the illegal aliens dressed as Elsa would have won.

Instead hundreds of marchers had to settle for Senator Schumer waving a red Planned Parenthood sign as the wind tried to tear it out of his hands before he made his way out of the small crowd of white lefties while his African-American bodyguard looked skeptically at them.

Other Women’s Marches didn’t even try.

In Denver, the Women’s March was cancelled. In Akron, the snow forced it indoors. In Eugene, Oregon, the old march of 7,000 had been pared down to 40 people who didn’t have a permit. The Chicago march was noted mainly for its celebration of Leila Khaled, a PFLP terrorist who participated in the Dawson’s Field hijackings of four airplanes that were seen as an inspiration for the attacks of September 11.

It could have been worse. But it’s hard to see how.

The Women’s March ought to be having its moment as the impeachment that the hate group had long demanded is underway. But instead, like so much of the anti-Trump activism, it’s fading away. The Women’s March gained its power from raging suburbanites, as they pull back, the crazies remain.

And, whether they’re waving Communist banners in D.C. or terrorist banners in Chicago, they’re harder to ignore without the protective camouflage that the useful idiots at previous marches offered.

Once the cover was pulled back from the Women’s March leadership, the end was not long in coming.

The weather, the snow, rain, and sleet, didn’t help attendance at this year’s events. Neither did the bigotry of the Women’s March leadership. But the larger story may be the onset of TSD fatigue.

The media and activist groups have spent four years whipping up Democrats into a frenzy of Trump Derangement Syndrome. After a week in which the media was promising the onset of WWIII, without actually delivering, there wasn’t much enthusiasm for the fourth iteration of the march.

All the marchers know that impeachment is doomed. The Impeachment rallies failed. Now the Women’s March, the grandma of all the anti-Trump rallies, failed along with them. And the activist groups and funders behind these hate rallies face a terrifying prospect. What if TDS burnout has set in?

Imagine a political and media landscape in which selling hatred of Trump no longer works?

There’s a reason this year’s big Women’s March drama involved old photos of them in the National Archives, not Trump. The marches are winding down and the participants are worrying about how history will remember them.

Their TDS world is ending and they know they’re history.
