This is a problem for the next wave of national GOP candidates & senate troublemakers; since Tom Cotton & other neocons (feigning concern) seem to be more closer to GOP voters on the issue than others.

Not to mention his background as a Ivy League guy & veteran means he can say whatever the heck he wants on being pro- starting stupid wars & chitting on BLM or whatever issue is bugging him that particular day.

We have an immigration policy today that few Americans support or voted for. It’s allowed legal and illegal immigration at levels divorced from what our economy needs. That has undermined the earning power of those Americans least able to afford it.

Then there is I guess semi-truthful stories about him punking out Obama's team.

He had a legitimate gripe with the Obama administration over a Secret Service leak of private information about a fellow member of Congress, and he was trying to pressure Obama to take punitive action. But that issue was unrelated to Butts and the Bahamas.

Cotton eventually released the two other holds, but not the one on Butts. She told me that she once went to see him about it, and he explained that he knew that she was a close friend of Obama’s — the two first encountered each other on a line for financial-aid forms at Harvard Law School, where they were classmates — and that blocking her was a way to inflict special pain on the president.
