If Sessions becomes Attorney General, there will eventually be an election for his replacement. Are there any high-profile pro-liberty people in Alabama who could run for Senate?

Well, do we have anyone?

Since I trolled and listed a ( qualified ) Union Col. of the First Alabama Cavalry Brigade and got no response , I think it is safe to say that No , you have nobody in Alabama.

I know a guy who's libertarian and political, but his focus is completely local. I could see him as a city councilor or even mayor (our present mayor is a young fella), but he's a long way removed from being a senatorial prospect.

So Roy Moore or Mo Brooks?

Are either of them worth supporting? Got a call from a Brannon guy asking for donations for Roy Moore.

I thought he lived in Arizona. Maybe after playing for the Phoenix Suns? But maybe he went to Houston after that? Can't remember.

Charles Barkley quotes. You sort of have to picture him saying these with that dry humor.

Barkley on Hanno Mottola, who, as EJ remarked "is the first NBA player from Finland". Charles replies: "Of course he is the first NBA player from Finland, he's the only person in Finland."

When the Dream Team was about to play the Angola national team, during pre-game interviews the other USA players provided diplomatic, face saving comments about how they would play hard and felt strongly they would win. When Chuck was asked about Angola and the game, he replied: "They're in a lot of trouble."

"If you go out with a girl and they say she has a great personality, she's ugly. If they tell you a guy works hard, he can't play a lick. Same thing."

No! I live in Bama and both of those guys are terrible, especially Roy Moore. Do a search on the 10 commandment fiasco with Roy Moore.

I used to vote republican unless there was a libertarian on the ballot. After I moved to AL in 2000 I quit voting republican, I just leave it blank unless there's a libertarian. That's how bad the republicans are here.
