President Obama on the Daily Show: Without Proper Intelligence ‘You Are Flying Blind’
The President stressed the importance of getting the intelligence community's 'detailed perspective'

President Barack Obama has offered a thinly veiled warning to President-elect Donald Trump about the importance of getting regular intelligence briefings.

“It doesn’t matter how smart you are, you have to have the best information possible to make the best decision possible,” President Obama said. “If you’re not getting [the intelligence community’s] perspective, their detailed perspective, then you are flying blind.”

President Obama appeared on the Daily Show With Trevor Noah on Monday, addressing both his own legacy and the possible future of the country under a Trump Administration with the Comedy Central host. Trump has shunned the daily intelligence briefings that have been made available for him, telling Fox News Sunday he’s “a smart person” who does not “have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day.”
“Every morning ― same words. ‘Sir, nothing has changed. Let’s go over it again.’ I don’t need that,” Trump said.

I see that as a totally different issue. At the time Trump was nothing more than a rich citizen. Obama is the current president vacating the office to his successor.

The real truth probably is that Trump has no interest in the daily machinations of being potus. He will be content to shoot out a few tweets now and then and make some TV appearances while letting his minions run the country.

Obama keeps telling him that on their daily phone calls. He just cannot understand how after all those conversations Trump could say something like this! :D
