I lost. Ron's translator sounds fine, and he's getting good applause. I wish i could understand this. The moderators appear professional and fair, and the audience is very cordial. Wish our mainstream debates would follow their example.

But they keep screwing up the translation when Ron Paul speaks omitting all kinds of stuff. They are more together when other candidates speak.

That doesn't surprise me, Ron Paul tends to push the words out a little faster than his mouth can pronounce them. He speaks fast, and sometimes he cuts himself off to make a more impactful point.

Why is this an insult to America? The Constitution does not require Americans to speak English or prefer English. This isn't France.
Univision is a private company, and candidates were freely invited to attend at their own discretion.
We have a large and growing, lawful Spanish-speaking population in this country. Those who want their votes would be well-advised to communicate to these citizens in the language and medium of their preference.

They knowingly came to a ENGLISH speaking country, majority of the people here speak English. There is no need to cator to any other language. I speak another language and my parents are immigrants, and I hate using a non-english language in something like a debate.

THIS IS BULLSHIT... This is the ONLY debate where the candidates are FORCED to wait for each of the candidates to finish their answers and make their points. Its not a bunch of talking over one another to drown out the exchange of beliefs. Yet over 90% of the people in this country will have no idea this debate even occured or what was discussed.
BTW Hugo Chavez just got mentioned and got a HUGE cheer. Ron Paul is now getting the biggest boos so far.

Yes, naturalization requires some minimal English ability, but not on the level that would be required to appreciate and comprehend the intricacies of questions and answers in a presidential debate.
Either we want these people as supporters or we don't. If we don't want them as supporters, then fine, let's not communicate our message in a way they can best understand and appreciate, let's let the other guys mislead them and draw their support instead. But I don't think that's in the best interest of Ron Paul's campaign.
Congressman Paul polls very well among minority voters. Congressman Paul receives a greater percentage of his support from minority voters than any other GOP candidate.

It was the standard answer about how we need to talk and trade with Venezuela and Cuba and end the Cuban embargo.

And 90% of the country has yet to watch a televised presidential candidate debate this election season. I wouldn't worry too much about them.
If you want to see a good, fair, English debate, watch the PBS GOP Minority Issues debate. Congressman Paul did very well in it.
