Paul Ryan hammered President Barack Obama's health care law Wednesday, stressing that he plans to use the early days of Donald Trump's presidency to "fix" the insurance system.
"You have to remember this law is getting much worse. It is what actuaries say, 'Entering a death spiral.' High, high premiums increase, high deductibles, no choices. We have to fix this problem," the House speaker told CNBC's "Squawk Box."

President-elect Donald Trump campaigned on a pledge to "repeal and replace" the law, known as Obamacare. He seized on rising premiums under the plan, which has broadly expanded health coverage in the United States.

The House has voted to repeal it numerous times. Now that they control all 3 chambers, suddenly those efforts have vanished. Imagine that.

It was an easy vote when they knew the bill would be vetoed. Now they are going to be responsible for whatever happens. If they suddenly scrap it, millions could lose health insurance and the insurance companies could be hurt also as they lose the revenues from those people.

Trump has backed off repealing it. He wants to keep a lot of it in fact. He won't just scrap it without something new to replace it with.

Yeah, really, imagine my surprise as well.

I'm still waiting for the Dept. of Education to go away, that was promised over twenty years ago when the assenhole GOP had full control as well.

People would not "lose" their health insurance if the law was repealed. The bill required people to buy insurance.

Sure, that is what a conservative would do.

Is it what a populist would do?
