Hittlarys life might actually be better and free of all the criticism if she would only quit having people mysteriously die around her all the time, starting wars, etc.

He can't. At most he can match Obama's record. These things are given out on a schedule once a year.

The Time Person of the Year is about the person, group, or object that "for better or for worse...has done the most to influence the events of the year". That doesn't mean the influence is good, but that it is the biggest influence. I think Donald Trump deserves this recognition. His full impact has yet to be seen, or whether that impact will be for good or bad, but it has definitely been unprecidented.

Time is almost irrelevant these days, so what's the point? It's like ABC's Person of the Week.

More like, Person of the Decade

I would say, Person of the Century, but theres still 76 years left. Its theoretically possible, someone greater than Trump will happen. Unlikely, but possible.

Whatever soul gets remembered most will be the one at the helm for the next economic crash most likely , by them the govt will be rounding up and jailing whoever did not pay the Obummercare fine .

I would have voted for WikiLeaks (Julian Assange).

Nominations must usually be made by February or March. People who can make nominations are:

Members of national assemblies and national governments (cabinet members/ministers) of sovereign states as well as current heads of states

Members of The International Court of Justice in The Hague and The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague

Members of Institut de Droit International

University professors, professors emeriti and associate professors of history, social sciences, law, philosophy, theology, and religion; university rectors and university directors (or their equivalents); directors of peace research institutes and foreign policy institutes

Persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

Members of the main board of directors or its equivalent for organizations that have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

Current and former members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee (proposals by current members of the Committee to be submitted no later than at the first meeting of the Committee after 1 February)

Former advisers to the Norwegian Nobel Committee

So he can nominate himself if he really wants it.

Obama was nominated by a member of the norwegain parliament even before he had taken office. Ridiculous.

Yes, but it proves how super, not-racist, the Norwegian Parliment is.
