This is big news. Americans all over the world have been dying to donate to the campaign but couldn't before. Now they can.

The campaign can bring in millions of dollars of donations from these folks.

But they have to know they have the capability. Right now they don't.

The campaign doesn't think this is important enough to tell folks they have accomplished the ability to receive these funds after 5 months of trying to make it happen.

I do.

Please help spread the word that expatriates living around the globe can now donate to the www.RonPaul2008.com donation page. We have 7 days to get the word out. Will people please think of ways to spread this information? Meetup groups have already been notified. We have a whole world to tell. This is a lot of money folks. These folks are not bled dry. They have been waiting to be able to donate. Waiting.

Post this every where. Tell every out of the country group for Ron Paul you can find.

This does not affect the military, they could always donate and still can, they just have to go look under the states' drop down menu and scroll to the bottom.

Please bump this up all day. This info is important.

Under the "Confirm Your Eligibility" part, it still says:

2. I am a United States citizen or a lawfully-admitted permanent resident.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just re-read the first post. I get what he's saying now. It's Americans that are living in other countries that can donate.

Foreigners CANNOT donate; Americans who live and work overseas can (and now they can via the website).

Exactly where are you getting this information from Thunderbolt? WHAT has changed? I don't see anything on the website. Am I missing something?

Before, you could only choose U.S. address. Now you can choose any country and give your address as long as you are U.S. citizen or (green card holder) permanent resident.

Thanks everybody. This should be sent to all the Meet Up groups in other countries. Some of those peeps are Americans living/working abroad. Anyone want to take the bsll and run on that? I'm on dial up and Meet-Up groups are excrutatingly slow for me.

bump.

I posted a message about this on myspace requesting the half dozen supporters I am friends with to go viral with it.

But I'm dead tired and 16 minutes passed my bedtime.

Later!

It IS true and it now has been tested by at least one person on this forum.

The overseas Ron Paul Meetup groups have already been notified. If they were classified as something else though, they still need to be informed.

yup contact hq about this!

I already asked them. I'm sure they'll jump on that right after they do a press conference on Barry Goldwater's endorsement.

In other words, don't hold your breath.

Don't forget to include time zone information so that people know when to donate. Most places are ahead of the US regarding time zones, so you don't want people to donate on their 16th, which could still be the 15th in the US. Good thing to remember when sending out messages to the Meetup groups.

This is awesome news! Thanks for posting this thread or I would've missed it. I couldn't take part in the last money bomb cause my credit card has an overseas billing address. Now I can donate on the 16th! Don't worry, I'll make sure the timezone is correct. ;) I would spread the word, but all my American friends are in the States anyway. Been emailing them plenty of Ron Paul videos though!
