I just noticed that the search engine description for www.house.gov/paul/ says.

"Official web site for libertarian congressman Ron Paul (R - TX)."

I'm 100% sure it used to say to say Republican congressman.

When did this change?

I'm guessing shortly after the second debates. :D

You should let the campaign know about it. Email it to them.

What search engine?

What search engine?

Google, I just assumed it would be the same for all of them. Guess I'll have to check.

Who should I email at the campaign about this? I don't want to bother people if they're getting swamped. This doesn't seem too urgent.

The description is accurate. Lowercase L refers to the ideology, not the party. The capital R stands for Republican.

No big deal.

Dr. Paul never gave up his lifetime membership in the LP.

I know it's not a big deal but somebody obviously took the time to change it. The question is who, why and how. I just checked the results on some other search engines.

Microsoft live, AOL, ask.com, and Lycos had the same result

Yahoo and Alta Vista said

“Republican representative from Texas.”

The plot thickens

dun dun dun

Maybe the shady characters at Google are up to something.

Up to what? It is a factually accurate description. Leave this alone.

its always said that. I remember because it says libertarian congressman Ron Paul(R) with the republican r behind it and i thought that was strange to have both.......... been that way since i can remember
