View Full Version : Will both parties "Flip" yet again when we hit the debt ceiling in March?

Back in the Bush years from 2000-2008, the republicans almost all voted (except Ron Paul and a few others) to raise the debt ceiling every time we hit it. They said the debt doesn't matter. Most democrats voted against raising it, saying it was irresponsible. Then when Obama was elected everything reversed. Democrats all voted to raise it, republicans against raising it. Now the democrats say debt doesn't matter, republicans say it's important.

So now republicans are back in power. I think the debt ceiling expires in March 2017 (we don't raise the debt ceiling anymore, we just suspend it for a given period of time). My guess is we see a complete flip again.

Aren't you glad you don't drink the kool-aid of either party? It's kind of entertaining to watch the hypocrisy in action.
