Dear Friend of Liberty,

It’s been 4 and ½ years since our organization was created and, as with every political endeavor, success and effectiveness was not certain. However, Tuesday’s election was a magnificent leap forward for our organization and those of like-mind.

We are extremely excited that all six of our endorsed, general election candidates were successful. This blowout success includes four newcomers and two incumbents to public office. This is a tremendous victory and a leap forward for the cause of Liberty in North Dakota.

Significant organizational support from the PAC was put into several of these races, including two districts with pro-liberty Republican candidates for State House coasting to victory against longtime, established Democrat control.

In District 4, Jordan Kannianen won a whopping 66% of the vote in a historically-Democrat District, winning every single county. Jordan’s base included substantial support from the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.

In District 24, Daniel Johnston bested another Democrat incumbent in a swing district that typically favors Democrats. He helped unseat an anti-gun and pro-Common Core legislator.

In District 26, Sebastian Ertelt was able to secure victory against two incumbent legislators in a Democrat region not won by a Republican in over 25 years. These incumbents had weak records on fiscal responsibility, civil liberties and the principles of local control.

In District 36, Luke Simons, having beat an incumbent Republican in his June primary, was propelled toward a resounding victory in a district impacted by burdensome federal regulation.

In District 34, Nathan Toman, who won an upset primary victory over a 22-year incumbent in 2012, was re-elected by a wide margin.

In District 38, Dan Ruby, one of the most conservative legislators in the House, continues to carry the torch of liberty for the Minot area.

Thanks again to all the individuals who came out and knocked on doors, walked in parades, put up signs and contribute financially. Your efforts made a big difference. We can see the results of this work in the fantastic margin of victory for our candidates.

Our battle is not over.

This is not merely an electoral endeavor. This is a fight that is waged across many fronts.

North Dakota’s legislative session is just around the corner, and we need your help. Working together, this session can advance our principles greatly.

We’re looking for volunteers to review legislation, attend committee meetings, provide testimony and more. Expect this session to produce bills on life, gun rights, food freedom, property rights, civil liberties, drones, taxes, common core, and more.

Join us, as we work together to make North Dakota great again.

In Liberty,

Jared Hendrix
