The paper of record in Iowa just wrote a 700-wd article on the Candidates' Forum without once mentioning Ron Paul or his event.

Truly we are in Orwell territory. It's fascinating to watch the people's real enemies emerge so clearly as the crisis point approaches.

Well, he wasn't in the Forum. It was a separate event. Still you'd think they'd mention it.

Is there an email to ask the DM Register if they have any info on RP's rally? :)

There is also an article on the schedule of events for the candidates this weekend in Iowa, and totally leaves out the Paul forum.

This is sickening.

Its to be expected understand the msm and many, many newspapers are the enemy hate to put it that way but thats the reality as Ron says: "There's a lot at stake if we shake up the establishment. What's at stake for us is our freedom. What's at stake for them is the money and control and the power and the monetary system-- this is high stakes." --Ron Paul

Didn't Nixon do something like that too? The whole list thing.

Well, they mentioned his event earlier, so I can't understand why they are avoiding the topic now.

He was not a part of the event, makes sense (to a journalist). Better to have another article JUST about Dr. Paul's rally.

To the extent that the MSM "dissed" anyone here, it is the candidates not mentioned nor views explained that DID participate in the debate!;)

This is true. Imagine how discouraging it would be to a candidate that travelled to Iowa for this, spoke to a half empty room, and the media thought he had not made ANY newsworthy quotes?

At least Ron got a full room (and more listeners on the Internet).

And the night is young. I think he will get some mention on the 11:00 local news.

What bothered me was that they didn't even include his name on the list of candidates who didn't attend. And if he shouldn't have been on that list b/c he wasn't invited, then that should have been noted in the article as he's in the same tier of candidates as Huckabee, Tancredo, etc.

Total hatchet job. Notice also that they do their best to insinuate that all of Dr. Paul's supporters were out-of-staters.

They didn't quote a single Iowan.

Now you can add comments to any online news article, yes? Some folks will dig down into the comments to get at the real news or more details. Just be diplomatic and to the point.

Also, Cspan is reporting it will carry the ITA Forum on July 4th. Now, did anyone notice Cspan taping at Congressman Paul's Rally?

Sounds like CSPAN needs filler on the holiday, to show IFTA excepts 5 days late.

So what's the final word on the attendance at the Paul rally? The campaign is claiming 1,000+. The few media hits are claiming 500-600. That's a big window. Which claim is right?

They had 1000 chairs and it was standing room only.
