I know that he's been refraining from endorsing a candidate because his sister is working for Tancredo. However, as an anti-war Paleoconservative and former winner of the New Hampshire primary, his support for Ron Paul would be invaluable. Let's write to Pat and try to get him to endorse Ron! If he really believes in his ideals, then Ron is the candidate for him and this is the time to move.

He's under contract as a political analyst for I believe MSNBC, so based on the terms of his contract he is not permitted to endorse a candidate.

If Pat endorsed Ron Paul that may well seal the deal in NH because it would let the older generation know that Ron Paul is on the same page. He's got the young crowd but the older voters don't know that Paul is essentially the return of Barry Goldwater.

he has said several times recently (during his book tour) that he is not endorsing anyone because he's a journalist and doesn't want to compromise peoples view of his comments. (plus, i bet he is actually prohibited in his msnbc contract from endorsements, same as for tucker, although tucker has been saying several times how he loves ron paul, technically not an endorsement, just a man crush)

You'd think Barry Goldwater Jr's endorsement would serve that purpose. Why don't we spread that information more?

Dear Pat,

I have admired your work for a long time. I appreciate your efforts to bring traditional conservative views to a country that has lost its way. That is why I am writing to ask you to endorse Ron Paul for President.

Ron believes in many of the same ideals that you do. I can not think of many areas in which you differ. You both believe in putting America first and keeping government in its proper place.

You were a very popular candidate for the White House. You won the New Hampshire primary. Your support would be invaluable. If Ron wins, then so do the principles that you and I have been fighting for over so many years.

I am doing everything I can for liberty. If the news will not cover Dr. Paul's message, then I will give my money and time to bring it to the people. I am flying to New Hampshire during the holiday season to tell people about him.

Pat, I am asking you to do everything you can for liberty too. One sentence from you has more power than a thousand from me. Please Pat, help us.

Sincerely,

If someone can give me some hints where to start, I'd love to compile some of the PatB quotes about Ron Paul.

A short video like that could do wonders for convincing the "more seasoned" members of my family.

:D

Pat has tacitly endorsed Ron Paul in his new book "Day of Reckoning: How Hubris, Ideology, and Greed Are Tearing America Apart"

http://www.amazon.com/Day-Reckoning-Ideology-Tearing-America/dp/0312376960/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1197220708&sr=8-2

Book Description
America is coming apart at the seams.Forces foreign and domestic seek an end to U.S. sovereignty and independence. Before us looms the prospect of an America breaking up along the lines of race, ethnicity, class and culture. In Day of Reckoning, Pat Buchanan reveals the true existential crisis of the nation and shows how President Bush's post-9/11 conversion to an ideology of 'democratism' led us to the precipice of strategic disaster abroad and savage division at home. Ideology, writes Buchanan, is a Golden Calf, a false god, a secular religion that seeks vainly, like Marxism, to create a paradise on earth. While free enterprise is good, the worship of a 'free trade' that is destroying the dollar, de-industrializing America, and ending our economic independence, is cult madness. While America must stand for freedom and self-determination, the use of U.S. troops to police the planet or serve as advance guard of some 'world democratic revolution' is, as Iraq shows, imperial folly that will bring ruin to the republic. While America should speak out for human rights, the idea that we get in Russia's face and hand out moral report cards to every nation on earth is moral arrogance. While we have benefited from immigration and the melting pot worked with millions of Europeans, the idea we can import endless millions of aliens, legal and illegal, from every culture, clime, creed, and continent on earth, and still remain a country, is absurd. To save America the first imperative is to remove from power the ideologues of both parties who have nearly killed our country. In his final chapter, Buchanan lays out ideas to prevent the end of America. He calls for a bottom-up review of all of America's Cold War commitments, a ten-point program to secure America's borders, ideas to halt the erosion of our national sovereignty and restore our manufacturing preeminence and economic independence, and a formula for finding the way to a cold peace in the culture wars.Buchanan offers a radical but necessary program, for neither party is addressing the real crisis of America -- whether we survive as one nation and people, or disintegrate into what Theodore Roosevelt called a 'tangle of squabbling nationalities' and not a nation at all. IN THIS EYE-OPENING BOOK, PAT BUCHANAN REVEALS THE PERILOUS PATH OUR NATION HAS TAKEN:- Pax Americana -- the era of U.S. global dominance -- is over.- A struggle for world hegemony among the United States, China, a resurgent Russia and radical Islam has begun.- Torn apart by a culture war, America has begun to Balkanize and break down along class, cultural, ethnic, and racial lines.- Free trade is hollowing out U.S. industry, destroying the dollar, and plunging the country into permanent dependency and unpayable debt.- One of every six U.S. manufacturing jobs vanished under Bush. - The Third World invasion through Mexico is a graver threat to U.S. survival than anything happening in Afghanistan or Iraq....IS OUR DAY OF RECKONING JUST AHEAD?

Plenty of people have quit their jobs to support Ron Paul. It isn't like Pat couldn't afford to quit his day job for the good of the country.

That's true but the campaign didn't do it right. It would be great if they could get Goldwater Jr. on tv next week after the big money bomb letting the people know that he's endorsed Ron Paul for president.
