They were fighting earlier over Rand running for president, Gray asked him to sign a pledge not to run again. Rand called him a hypocrite for running for senate while serving as mayor.

I guess we will need a tube of that. I want to be able to guess the odds based on Rand's body language.:D

Gray bellowing about how the minimum wage is a great American tradition and a key part of a functioning capitalist economy...

Rand schools him (first day of micro 101, to be precise).

All Gray could do was demagogue and attack Rand while fumbling his words pretty badly. Rand wins this round for being so collected and insightful in his answers.

I saw that, I walked into it late though because of traffic, was there any foreign policy related questions? Rand's answer at the end though was the perfect thing to say. I think lots of people feel like they don't spend enough time with loved ones. I pray his family is never threatened because he is defending my liberty.

Hard to imagine this debate did much for Gray. He was aggressive but didn't land any hard punches. And it is amusing Gray is basically running as a neocon.

Paraphrasing...
Rand: "We shouldn't have invaded Iraq or Libya, shouldn't have armed Syrian rebels, created chaos, I want a strong but more efficient military"
Gray: "Trump and McCain and Christie said you're dangerous on national security! So there!"
Gray is pretty much a campaign surrogate for Rand. Maybe they will have him on the shows this weekend :)

It's pretty funny how one of Jim Gray's main talking points is that Rand does not reach across the aisle, when really there could not be anything further from the truth. I saw the Herald-Leader repeat that same talking point in their endorsement of Gray a few days ago, which is not that surprising I guess since they are basically an extension of the Democrat Party, along with the Courier-Journal. Just shows how desperate they are.
As for Rand's performance I thought he did pretty good, just like he did in the debates during the debates in 2010 senate race. I think Rand is better when there are fewer candidates on stage and there is more time to explain his answers, in contrast to the presidential debates where I think he did not do nearly as well for that reason and various other ones.

I was having trouble understanding his talking points in response to the answer until I realized that they were all DNC talking points. The back and fourth reminded me of a soundboard prank call. There was no context to his answers and it was all word salad. It sounded more like a laundry list than an argument. He used "boardroom" buzzwords that have no specific meaning, it was the most forgetful thing I ever watched.

Thanks for the videos. Donated the max after watching them.
Thank you for your generous donation to Rand Paul for US Senate. Your contributions provide the fuel for a well coordinated, effective, and successful campaign. With your help, we will bring honesty, responsibility, and constitutional leadership to Washington D.C.
I've never actually heard a Democrat truly argue that the problem is shrinking government and the answer is we must grow the government bigger and bigger. Kudos for him being truly honest in his douchebaggery.
