For sure! It'll take a couple of millenia to run out of zombies here in 'Murica. And that's just counting the ones we already have here!

HB's not talking to me...he's greatly scandalized that I wrote in Ron Paul instead of VS.

Actually, I've heard that people from other countries think it's strange that we greet strangers and try to strike up conversations with people we don't know.

At least, that's what I've heard. They probably went down South and got some of that hospitality.

Lol, I talk to everyone. When we were in Buffalo a few weeks ago, I was trying to chat up people and they looked at me like I had three heads. I wasn't discouraged, though, I just kept on talking. Mr A and his sister were going around explaining that I wasn't from there - no shit! I'm from a place where if you make eye contact with people, you don't pretend it didn't happen.

To be fair, there's a difference between greeting strangers and telling them about your hedge trimming adventures...

I wouldn't say that to a stranger - unless I was drunk.

Some people just aren't talkative - I know what you mean about "pretending like we didn't lock eyes". Glad you were carrying a pin around to burst their bubbles.

I get that. I don't expect someone to tell me their life story but when I lock eyes with someone, I smile and say hello. I think it's bizarre when people look at me like I'm a crazy person just for being friendly. It takes all kinds to make the world go round, I guess.

Must be a southern thing. Most of us yanks are too miserable to want to chat with strangers. I usually don't feel like it, although if I do happen to meet someone's eyes I'll usually say hi. Begrudgingly.
