Has anybody here taken any courses offered by The Teaching Company, and if so are they any good?

Here are three courses that look interesting:

Great Debate: Advocates and Opponents of the American Constitution (http://www.teach12.com/ttcx/coursedesclong2.aspx?cid=4878&pc=HomePageFeature)

Civil Liberties and the Bill of Rights (http://www.teach12.com/ttcx/coursedesclong2.aspx?cid=8530)

United States and the Middle East: 1914 to 9/11 (http://www.teach12.com/ttcx/coursedesclong2.aspx?cid=8593)

I have most of their literature courses. I really like them. I particularly like Zarefsky's (sp maybe) lectures on Argumentation and Reason. While I only taught composition, I tried to instill critical thinking toward each student that passed my classroom.

I've taken the Great Battles of the Ancient World course and the Early Middle Ages course. They're really good and worth doing. As the courses you list can have a bias to them, it'll be nice to know going in if you're going to get preached at by some authoritarian for 6 hours.

I have been on the fence about getting those same courses. Right now they're offering the Constitution course and a course in the American Revolution for a little over $100 (audio CD) - a good deal.

Thanks for the replies. They are offering free shipping on all orders over $150 until the 16th, so I'll probably try a couple.
