For SHAME. I think I'll have to see a kick ass YouTube video to motivate me to post pics and a summary.

Only a weak thread that RPR was covering live ... with lots of complaints that nobody could make out audio.

I gotta see a good YouTube video other than the usual suspects (Land of the Free; A New Hope; When in the Course .... etc) to motivate me enough to post my pics and summary ... which has a few delicious easter eggs in it....

We just got in the door. It's 12:30 AM here in Charlotte.

I'll just say that the venue in Rock Hill this morning was JAMMED TO THE RAFTERS, and Ron's speech there was the absolute best I've heard him deliver. Good local news coverage in Charlotte and Rock Hill.

Greenville was spectacular. Right on the river, outdoors, Granny Linda and Steve the sign guy, the Southern Avenger warmed up the crowd and, God love him, RP greeted every single person after his speech. The line was forever.

I'm sure there will be plenty to see and hear and talk about later today. Sorry, right now I'm hittin' the sack.

Got tons of great pics. We had one of the best days of this LONG campaign trail we've ever had.

Scanner Scott...way to kick a$$, my friend.

The amphitheatre seats 1,000 officially. So, given how there wasn't hardly a seat left to be found, plus the crowd standing in back .... I'd say 1,200 or so.

What was really great, to me, was seeing people across the Reedy River behind the amphitheatre who just happened to be walking by stop and listen to the speech. There were people in their apartments across the river out on their balconies listening ... people heading into restaurants across the river stopping to lean over the railing and listen for 10-15 minutes.

Paul's speech was dominated by the following topics, in order of time spent on them:
- Fiscal conservatism (Debt, Inflation, Taxation)
- Big Government (Loss of civil liberties, Nanny State, Welfare State, Warfare State)
- Principles of Freedom and Liberty

Pics coming soon .... but dammit I want somebody to post me a good YouTube!

I was at the Rock Hill Rally I would say there was 500 plus people packed in there... maybe even 600! Everyone was pumped up. The head of the York County Republican Party was there to introduce Paul and was enthusiastic about Ron Paul supporters. Ron stayed for at least an hour to shake everyones hand, get a picture and an atugraph! Was lots of fun! Hope a youtube of speech gets posted at some point lots of people had cameras

Just got back from Greenville. Had a great time and met some wonderful people. Got to meet and speak to Dr Paul. It was great. I think my wife is a little more enthusiastic now.

I'd estimate about 250 people at the Anderson event. I got there about noon to do some setup work and had to bolt at 4:45 to make it to work by 5pm. No pics as my camera decided to tell me that my memory card could not be initialized when I loaded fresh batteries into it before taking off.
btw, does anyone have the link to the flikr page that is hosting all the supporter pics that were taken at today's events? They started to use an 'official photographer' to speed things up instead of having everyone take their own photos.

That was a southern hitpiece, IMHO, written specifically to turn southerners off.

What a hit piece in the Herald!

The author needs some educating.

Please don't harass the local media in SC, it will backlash bigtime, we're just starting to get them on our side.

Best photo I have of a ton of crappy ones of Ron. The lighting played HAVOC on my camera's focus.

More random people clear across the river who were walking by and stopped to listen to Ron.

My first inclination was to email him, then I realized that much of what he wrote is just the usual uneducated, 2 months behind the campaign journalism.

We'll sift through the forum after inauguration day, and send all of these guys a group letter holding them accountable. :)

Razmear,

No one said anything about being rude or foul mouthed.

It's called "the right of reply."

Chill.

I just re-read the article in case I missed something the first time, and I wouldn't call it a hit piece at all, if you saw some of the earlier press down here you'd be thrilled they were being so nice for a change.

And there have been many complaints from local press of being flooded with nasty emails after doing a story, which definitely demotovates them from writing more in the future, good or bad. We can take care of our own media relations at the local level.
