A Senator of the State of Virginia expressed his 'deepest regrets for the terrible tragedy at Deir Ezzor'
in a letter to Syria's Ambassador to the United Nations, Bashar Ja'afari.
Senator Richard H. Black has always expressed his support for the Syrian Army
and their struggles against the takfiri forces.
This culminated in the famous letter he sent to President Assad in 2014,
with the senator finally meeting Assad earlier this year.
In his letter, Senator Black expressed his hope
that the United States had not coordinated with ISIS to attack the Syrian Army.
