Tea Party Group Endorses 25-Year-Old for Open Florida House Seat (https://morningconsult.com/alert/tea-party-group-endorses-25-year-old-for-open-florida-house-seat/)

Ahead of next week’s Florida primaries, the super PAC aligned with the Tea Party Patriots has endorsed Rebekah Bydlak in the state’s 1st District – an open contest with Republican Rep. Jeff Miller leaving Congress.

A local conservative activist, Bydlak is only 25 years old, and if she were to win, she would be the youngest woman to ever serve in Congress. (The current youngest woman to serve in Congress, GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York, was 30 when she was elected in 2014.)

“We find her youth a positive selling point,” Tea Party Patriots Co-Founder and National Coordinator Jenny Beth Martin said in a statement. “She is untainted by experience in the cesspool that exists in our nation’s capital, and will approach public policy problems with a fresh set of eyes and an open mind for new solutions.”
