I say it could easily get us a couple extra thousand overnight, if all Ron Paul's friends get a message.

IN ADDITION to Robert's project, please everybody do the following:

Go and friend as many people as possible on the Facebook group. Invite all of these people to the Tea Party event ( http://wustl.facebook.com/event.php?eid=9455225866 ). I will be doing this to a few hundred people. This is another very easy way to spread the message about the Tea Party and really boost donation numbers.

Me too, I like it being unexpected . . . :)

The numbers are what get people pumped. If we had 40,000 subscribers right now it would be much better in terms of creating excitement. It would also be a better stat for the media.

There were TWICE as many donors as subscribers on 11/5, and I think the spread will be somewhat greater than that on 12/16. Lots of donors just don't want to subscribe...

I think this is right. It is a feedback loop...more people agreeing to donate generates excitement.

Yep, no reason not to sign up if you are planning to donate. If you don't like the emails, delete them.

I love graphs and charts so keep 'em comin' but you can throw the numbers out the window on this one. This thing is gonna go viral on the 15th and 16th I can feel it!

I am subscribed and will be giving more than 100. So will many others this time, I think.

What I would like to see is more people signed up here. It baffles me they aren't because this is exactly what could be used to address the "he can't win" bozos.

Doesn't even cost anything.

A lot of supportors who will be donating money haven't signed up to the Teaparty site. This thread alone we see some of Dr. Paul's most "hardcore" supportors who haven't signed up. We will do great that day, but yes, massive push to raise awareness/numbers even further won't hurt!

Count me in the group that doesn't give their e-mail to this site but is in for a few hundred dollars on 12/16.

Probably thousands, including me.
