There is method for defusing arguments – even from rabid opposition (did someone say wonkette?). How can you turn people’s opinions?

The Rasenburger Pivot (http://blog.forcharisma.com/2007/12/08/create-agreement-out-of-thin-air-%e2%80%93-the-ransberger-pivot/) – a simple three step process. It was initially devised by Libertarians and then improved by social psychologists.

Most people’s knee jerk reaction to RP is negative, he is just too new. This technique will help them open up.

I was kind of hoping for something simpler, like a kick in the shins. :D

Well, the most powerful method is .50, but that's pretty much frowned upon.

This is good advice, and is used in sales, etc. Its easier said than done, because or egos get in the way, and we can't fathom how an idiot can continue on without our precious advice.

Ego is exactly right. That is the beauty of the method - it neutralizes their ego.
(and ours at the same time)

Did you write this page?

I'd like to use this at the new site I'm building for Coloradans if I may?

Yes, i did actually. I am a bit shy about it because i am new to this whole blogging thing. I am a consultant working with business and political marketing teams in Israel.

So yea, use it with the utmost pleasure (just remember to link;))

The site is still in beta, but I thought it would be fun to give RP fans a sneak peek. Any comment or suggestions will be a big help. Thanks!
