As of now, the South Dakotan primary is in June. But I think it would be a could I idea for Ron Paul to enlist the help of Russell Means to try to pitch his message to the American Indians in that area. For those who do not know, Russell Means lost the Libertarian nomination to Ron Paul in '88. There may be some bad blood but hopefully things have mellowed with the passage of time. Besides being the moral thing to do, appealing to American Indians is a good practical thing to do. Paul's message of abiding by the Constitution (and that includes all treaties that were constitutionally ratified) should appeal to American Indians. The Democrats don't even address the liberty of American Indians. There's no money in it for them and/or they don't care.
Granted, Russell Means is a controversial figure. But I have heard him speak on several occasions. He's very hard core. But he has denounced the whole reservation system as communistic/socialistic.
