When asked by Don Imus this week about his foreign policy credentials, Mike Huckabee joked:

“And the ultimate thing is, you know, I may not be the expert as some people on foreign policy –
but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.” (WABC Radio, 12/04/07)

Is he running for Jay Leno's replacement or commander-in-chief ?

Faux News channel also mentioned this on air Saturday morning as well as the blogs and the Minneapolis St. Paul Star Tribune (not seeming to allow link - but link thru google ok).

In other words, he doesn't know jack about foreign policy.

Ron is world-class on the subject.

I bet we could trip him up pretty easily. If a reporter or a Paulistinian with a camcorder asked Huck to tell us the full name of the Shah of Iran who was overthrown by Khomeini in the 1970s, I bet he doesn't know it. I bet he doesn't even know the last name.

Or ask him the name of the president of Taiwan.

What, are you blaming the Minneapolis Star Tribune for reporting this campaign gaffe ?

Unfortunately, the ignorant public looks at humor as a commonality with the Presidency.

Can't go by positions alone, in this country and it's voters... you need humor and MARKETING!

He is first in national polls because he is charming and makes jokes. There is no substance to him, and it's a shame more people don't see that.

Hell, I know the first one....but that may have *something* to do with fact that I'm Persian...;P

But hell, who cares who the president of Taiwan is? Even Ron Paul had said he doesnt know who the president of Switzerland is...;P

i think huck is being too modest. he should have told them about his plans to move palestine to egypt/saudi arabia.
