Chicago gangs plotting to kill police officers

Leaders from three Chicago gangs reportedly met last week to discuss plans to kill police officers in response to the officer-involved shooting death of 18-year-old Paul O’Neal.

The Chicago Sun-Times (http://chicago.suntimes.com/news/cpd-says-three-west-side-gangs-plotting-to-shoot-cops/), citing an alert issued to Chicago officers, reported Monday that the meeting took place on Thursday between the gangs Vice Lords, Black Disciples and Four Corner Hustlers.
According to the paper, the Four Corner Hustlers have “provided guns” and pinpointed a “sniper in place.” However, authorities are still unsure where the alleged sniper spot is placed. The gang is also funneling weapons to the other two gangs.

If this is confirmed report, Chicago gang leadesr may have wildly overestimated their reach. With foreign wars winding down in recent years, currently a significant part of US police force consists of combat experienced military veterans, US Marines and such.

I'd imagine there's plenty of vets on both sides of this skirmish.

While they were in case of recent Dallas BLM protest shooting of 4 cops ( a Marine and navy officer were among cops killed by shooter suspect who was reportedly Afghan war medal winner) but I would think vets are far far more likely to be found in police force than in a gang.

Why anybody wants to see dead cops is beyond me. I know the police state is out of control, and needs to be reigned in, but take away the police forces and you will have complete chaos. I think some of you have never been out of your mom's basements in your lily-white, middle-class suburbs.

A manhunt was underway Sunday in central Georgia after an Eastman police officer was fatally shot while responding to a 911 call, authorities said.
Patrolman Tim Smith, 31, was killed when he got out of his patrol car and confronted the suspect, identified as Royheem Delshawn Deeds, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement.
Deeds, 24, is considered armed and dangerous, the bureau said.
Dodge County 911 received a call Saturday night about a suspicious person seen downtown, the bureau said.
