I guess I get it if various politicians attend and film political speeches of opponents. Speaking as a parent, I think the Congressman handled this situation quite graciously. He displayed much more tact and statesmanship than I would have found under like circumstance.

NY GOP Congressman Exposes Paid Democrat 'Trackers' Stalking His Family at Charity Event

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) is fed up with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) trackers who stalk him wherever he goes.
On Friday, the freshman congressman posted a video to Facebook of a confrontation he had with two DCCC trackers. They were videotaping him and his family at a non-political charity event. Zeldin -- a major in the Army Reserve who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom -- was participating in a charity youth basketball game in Mastic Beach, New York.
Wrote Zeldin on Facebook:

Welcome to my world ... Can you believe Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee literally pay someone to stalk me wherever I go? Crazy stuff. I brought Diana and the girls with me Friday evening to Brookhaven Councilman Dan Panico's annual 3 on 3 youth basketball challenge in Mastic Beach, which I have been playing in every year (not well by the way) and sure enough ... look who shows up to follow me around with a video camera ... Meet the Stalker.

The congressman then turned the tables on the stalkers -- Zeldin videotaped them as he exposed the DCCC's utter lack of decency and scruples.

When Zeldin introduced himself to the two individuals and asked what brought them to the event, they initially demurred."[We] just wanted to see what this was all about," a young woman who identified herself as Melissa said.
"For like a school project or something?" pressed Zeldin.
After some evasion, the woman admitted to being a "tracker" for the DCCC.
"It's kind of weird that someone would be paid by the DCCC to come track a basketball game," the Long Island Congressman explained. "You actually have the camera right now on my daughter."
"It's not on, I promise," a visibly nervous Melissa said. The DCCC trackers eventually turned tail and left the event, but not before Zeldin could ask them to pass on a message to Nancy Pelosi and the DCCC.
"Events like this, we try not to be political and pay trackers to show up at this kind of event."

Zeldin told Hannity.com:

DCCC trackers have been on me for years, but now there seem to be far less limits to where they will go to film me.
Both parties use trackers to follow candidates at political events, but only the DCCC uses overzealous tactics that smack of stalking and even political intimidation. Back in June (http://nypost.com/2016/06/17/democratic-tracker-fired-for-stalking-republican-candidate/), a Democrat tracker was fired after peeping through the windows of a Republican candidate's home in Westchester County, New York:

The wife of candidate Phil Oliva said she caught state Democratic operative Yougourthen Ayouni peering into the windows of their family home in the Westchester County town of Somers.“He was hunched over looking inside,” Jessica Oliva told The Post. “I’m always breast-feeding. It’s scary. Do we have to have a police officer stationed outside our house?”
The Oliva family filed a harassment incident report with the Somers Police Department against Ayouni -- who was fired by New York Democratic Party officials when news of his heavy-handed tactics was revealed.

Did Ayouni get fired for his tactics, or for getting caught?
Because in 2012, Democrat trackers actually posted videos of Republican candidates' homes online (http://hotair.com/archives/2012/07/09/democratic-trackers-posting-videos-of-republican-candidates-homes-online/). And the DCCC was okay with that.

I'm quite ok with that too. Let's make sure all candidates for public office and currently elected peoples home addresses are easily available for all citizens.

I am OK with that also; however, do recall various politicians being specifically targeted for crime. I recall Dianne Feinstein, a politician I would love to see voted out of office, being specifically targeted by a terrorist group who planted a bomb in her personal residence. As much as I disagree with many political stances, I would rather see them voted out, than taken out. In our modern day of political discontent expressed through acts of deadly violence, it would take a special type of person to pursue a career in politics with their personal information shared with hopes of their victimization.

This is legit; Matt Collins made a video where he was being stalked by the oppo. He had a few tricks up his sleeve though, and was able to safely get away.

What about a fence ? A large dog ? A sign that says you support the 2nd amendment ?
