Univision is an all-spanish channel. I don't have cable so I'm not sure if it is part of the regular cable programming or if you need to buy a higher tiered service.

The candidates will all be speaking english.....but I'm not sure if they are going to dub over the voices as they speak or what......

Yes I predict that the candidates will undoubtedly speak english and it will be dubbed over into spanish. That's what usually happens anyway.

Yea I found the Univision broadcast in the Chicagoland area will be carried on WGBO, channel 4 on my local comcast system...however it will be in spanish.

So far I'm not aware of an english simulcast anywhere. :(

As for the 12th being on Faux News it will be hosted as a Vannity & Colmes show, so.....yeah....at least it will be televised :p

They even make sure that candidates that speak Spanish only use English in order not to give them an unfair advantage. Chris Dodd and Bill Richardson had to only use English during the Democratic debate because of that.

Just thought I'd throw this out there for the future flamers: There are many poeple in this country, here LEGALLY, who speak english and have jobs, HOWEVER, they where raised speaking Spanish and are more comfortable with it.

And some of them vote Republican. I've converted at least one to the Paul side.

i'm not hating on spanish, i just dont understand it, so looks like this debate will be useless to me. so i guess 12/12 on faux is my next best bet?

Considering this is going to be one of the last debates, I'd appreciate it if the majority of the population which cannot speak Spanish could actually listen to the debate. This debate is pointless in terms of pushing Ron Paul into the mainstream, because most people can't watch it. I don't have a problem with a Spanish debate in theory, but I'd rather see it in the general election. This is disappointing for Ron to say the least. Now all we have left is the damn fox debate that will be biased as hell.

I wonder if the Second Audio Program has the original English or maybe even English translated from Spanish which was translated from English.

It should!

i can't wait though for the discussion over cuba, many of the producers and anchors for univision are anti-castro cubans. they are going to flip when they hear ron paul promote ending the boycott against cuba.

and there are people who are equally comfortable with both but enjoy watching the mexican soap operas, so they are accustomed to watching univision (which has an exclusive on the esmas programming from mexico).

personally, i do like the concept of a self contained series that runs 39 weeks from beginning to middle to end. unfortunately the mexican telenovelas do have quite the same leftist / socialist agenda as U.S. TV does. ironic since the shows tend to be about wealthy white mexicans when whites only make up about 10% of the population. not very socialist of them but still they get to put in the story lines about AIDS and about maids who become stars or marry the rich guy.

i hate U.S. TV where they stretch out a simple concept into a 7 year series, and of course they need a cliff hanger every season. i had high hopes for the ABC show "lost" but under the presure of yearly cliffhangers it quickly derailed. i can only dream of what might have been if that had been a telenovela. with daily shows and a definate confined story to work out over a single year. and now they have 48 episodes planned, to be aired over 3 years. ridicoulous, it should be run out in just 1 more season. but they jumped the shark at the end of last season, i suspect they may not actually last through their planned ending.

now, who has watched the new show "chuck". a truly remarkable show, only it should have ended with the episode to be aired after the christmas break, and they will try to drag it out for years. or rather, the story line coming to a conclusion should have been the end of the show, but i would have enjoyed them streaching the story line out for 39 weeks, either daily or weekly.

ah, what the hell am i talking to you people for. half of you think ron paul is a gun hating, pacisfist liberal, boy would you be surprised if you really knew him.
