Our Solutions
G4S provides security services to empower federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to be more effective while ensuring that security is scrupulously maintained at each step in the process.

G4S supports the U.S. Department of Homeland Security,Customs and Border Protection (CPB), with its operations at the U.S. Mexico border and with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to transport illegal immigrants in selected urban areas. Annually, our G4S fortified buses log millions of miles and transport hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, while freeing up front line CPB and ICE personnel for other essential services.

G4S provides high*level security, transportation, visitor information and other support services that can help any law enforcement agency be more effective in these times of limited resources.

This is the contractor the orlando shooter worked for. Seems pretty questionable to me.

They transport illegal immigrants after they have been arrested in the country. Would that be considered "funneling in"? http://www.g4s.us/en-US/Products%20and%20Services/Security%20Personnel/Detainee%20and%20Prisoner%20Transport/

Rather than use its own agents to drive the buses and escort detained illegal immigrants, which would have drastically reduced the number of “badges” on the front line, the Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection (CBP) decided to outsource secure transportation service to an organization capable of providing personnel with similar qualifications to the federal agents who were departing and capable of taking over their duties at very short notice.

Transportation services include ground and air movement of prisoners, offenders and illegal aliens; arrestee transport operations; hospital/medical treatment facility security in transit.

What did Mateen do for them? http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2016/06/g4s-orlando-shooting-omar-mateen/486908/

Mateen had been an employee of the company for nearly nine years, serving most recently as an armed security guard at a gated retirement community in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Like many who haven't even heard of them, I had no idea how huge they are.

G4S has an unfathomably broad reach. The largest in its industry, it operates across six continents and in hundreds of countries. Mateen was a low-level employee at G4S, but his company has lucrative contracts with countless clients, including the Department of Homeland Security. Profiling its work worldwide for Vanity Fair in 2014, William Langewische noted, “In recent years it has become the third-largest private employer in the world, after Walmart and the Taiwanese manufacturing conglomerate Foxconn. The fact that such a huge private entity is a security company is a symptom of our times.” G4S often provides its security services where industry needs them and where governments can’t or won’t.
