Forward Leaning?

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called out President Obama on Sunday over his foreign policy, saying he’s responsible for a “reduction in American leadership” in the world.

During a radio interview with John Catsimatidis on Sunday, McConnell blasted Obama for disengaging from the rest of the world.
“I rarely quote [former President] Jimmy Carter, but Jimmy Carter said he couldn’t think of a single place in the world where we were better off than before President Obama came to office,” he said.

McConnell added that the “reduction in American leadership” from Obama has been ineffective because it’s allowing the nation’s rivals to expand their influence.

“I think we need to be more assertive,” McConnell said. “The world needs a leader, and if it isn’t going to be us, it’s gonna be the Chinese or the Russians. So I would hope the next president, whoever that may be, will be more forward-leaning because America is a force for good in the world, but a force only if it’s willing to engage.”

So there is an assertive clarity of purpose, he should have also called for next Prez to be not a Nobel Peace prize winner.
