shouldn't we be saving for the tea party, the whole idea is to get 10 million in one day...

I don't see it happening, but it would be awesome. I would wager that we'd be at around 11.5 million by the tea party, hitting 20 million by the end of december 16th.

AINT GONNA HAPPEN.

Man, I love being right. I said we could only raise as much on the 30th to put us well over 10 million. I'll use my psychic powers to predict Q4 outcome... holy crap 20+ million dollars. What a success!

I'd rather see him raise $0 for the next 8 days and an extra $1.2 million on the 16th!

Yup.

All the mainstream media is watching Dec 16th.....so we need to get as much as we can pour into that date.

In the meanwhile, those who can, please subscribe to the weekly money bomb (http://ronpaulmoneybomb.com/).

But priority #1 is the teaparty

No because the money donated now can't be used any faster by the campaign than the money donated on the 16th. We are all better off saving every penny for the 16th. Everyone needs to try and donate more than $100.

There is probably another 400k from offline donations yet to be added

I don't know how much will be added from offlines, but I'd bet the campaign adds it mid-day on the 16th.

No need to worry about pre-16th donations anymore, no one will remember what happened from now to the 15th. When they talk about the money the campaign raised only the 5th, the 16th, and the grand total will be mentioned. Big 16th, can we beat $10 million?

Richandler

It would have made a difference three weeks ago, but now saving for the 16th is the really only smart decision right now. However don't let me stop you from doing what you want.

Not happening. Save it all for the Tea Party and send the most powerful message you can possibly send to this country.

I figure we will be around $11 million by then. Maybe a bit more. Remember how donations slowed before November 5th?

They better not, it would mess up the calculations for amount raised in one day.

btw.On the 5th they raised about 4 million online and 300,000 offline in the one day.

And to the original poster, I think it would be better to blast through the campaign goal of 12mill on the Dec 16. That gives the media a bigger announcement.

eg:
"With 2 weeks to go in the 4th quater the Ron Paul campaign blasted through their 4th quater goal of 12 million. Not only did they reach this goal but they added another 8 million to it in just one day. Ron Paul now clearly leads campaign fundraising."

Blowing pass the 12 million goal ON Dec 16 will be a nice story.

Listen people. WE TOLD RON, we would bring in more on 12/16 than we did on 11/5. He has repeated this in the MSM several times. The media has also gotten the idea from somewhere that we expect to bring in more then 10 million dollars on that day.

Do I really need to remind anyone that if we do not make this a HUGE success, it will look like the campaign is dying. That is the very last thing we need to happen, right before we go into the early primaries. We need a very strong showing on that day and if at all possible, we need to blow 10 million dollars out of the water! Remember what happened on 11/5. Remember how our fellow citizens sat up and finally started taking Ron seriously. Imagine what it will do, if we bring in 10 million or more on 12/16.

If we're not now, we'd all better start working hard to build the excitement back up about this thing. A whole lot is counting on this day. More than I think any of us realizes. PLEASE spread the word. PLEASE build up the fervor again. We HAVE to do this thing.

No money bombs, no blimps, no anything, PLEASE until after we succeed on 12/16. We simply MUST.

The 400k for the blimp will not make a huge difference and it could potentially increase exposure for the tea party, not to mention the exposure of Ron himself. I think the blimp has been a wise investment and has come at exactly the right time. it will pay for itself and then some.

Donations will no doubt accelerate as the total closes in on the 12 million dollar goal, which will certainly happen on the 16th. When you think about it, it will probably all work out beautifully.

We already raised the money to get the blimp in the air.

It's way past time to bring our focus back to The Tea Party on 12/16.

It would be nice, but I don't think we can raise that kind of money in a week especially when the teaparty is so close. I think what we need to do is find these people with these huge emailing lists like Mercola and urge them to keep sending out their newsletters reminding them to donate on the 16th. I've been emailing other natural health practitioners to try and get them on board as well. I'm more into the natural health stuff than I am the financial stuff, does anyone know big financial people that are backing Dr. Paul? Maybe we can get them to start sending out newsletters. We need to rally the troops!

Man this is the first time I've ever seen you guys "we can't do it", "imossible"

We have 27,000 people signed up for the teaparty if everyone donated $45 between now and the 16th

thats $6.42/day between now and dec 16th

do you really think that will have a huge impact on the 16th

NOT I

but do as you want my only goal was to try to motivate some people to continue the donations so we don't slow down too much before the 16th

TomTX

I am one of those 27K people. I won't be contributing your $45 before then, or even $1.

I'm giving it all on the 16th.

I might order some more packs of slim-jims before then.

I'm sure your intentions are good, but we need to focus on what is brought in on 12/16. Nothing donated before that day counts towards that number. Save it all for The Tea Party and let's ROCK THE HOUSE!

This is the correct train of thought. It's not that we can't do it, but we want to make Dec. 16th the biggest fundraising day in American history! The establishment will know what they're up against in about 8 days!

Realistically, we're get about 40,000 a day, letting early midnight donors to the teaparty to tip it over the 12 million mark pretty quickly.

The Tea Party is in 8 days. Everyone should ignore the "We HAVE to donate NOW!" threads from now til then.

Why? Because the media is stunned by the fact we put a blimp in the air, and they're on the edge of their seats waiting to see how the 16th will turn out. Not to mention I'm sure Ron Paul himself is excited about it.

Do not let anyone down on the 16th

I agree 1000%. BESIDES our offline campaigning, we must do all we can to ensure that the Tea Party goes off huge.

Every million counts on the Tea Party, and the brief media attention we'll get for hitting our quarterly goals two weeks early will quickly be eclipsed by the Tea Party anyway.
