"Just to tell you what kind of budget we were on, the dancing school paid for the newspaper and for extra expenses we had when a month had five weeks!"

I've read this about 10 times and still don't understand it. Am I just being idiotic or something...?

Seriously, can Rudy McRomney say the same about how they came about today? Would we see the humility, the love for hard work, the dedication to one another and always looking for ways to sustain themselves through an honest work in their bios?

So the American Dream came true for a boy who delivered newspapers, a teen-ager who mowed lawns, delivered milk, delivered furniture, delivered laundry, and delivered mail, and for a man who then delivered babies. Now that dream continues with a man who is trying to deliver the message that freedom works and that patriotism must not grow weak in the hearts of all Americans. And liberty reigns to help us hang on to our Republic for which the Founders gave their last measure of devotion.

Ron Paul delivers. Period.

I think she's trying to be funny :p

I think "when a month had five weeks" is supposed to be joke but I couldn't for the life of me understand what preceded that either. The wording is very... um... contorted

means in terms of bill paying. If paychecks come monthly and bills weekly, months with five weeks are tough?

Bingo. I get paid weekly so I look forward to "months with 5 weeks" cause it's like getting a bonus check. If I got paid bi-monthly or monthly I'd hate it since it would mean 25% higher food and other costs that month on the same pay.

She must be exaggerating a bit when she says that he ran a 9.8 100m dash. The current record is 9.74 seconds, and the 9.8s weren't touched until the 90s.
A good read, nevertheless.

If you mean blacks were not allowed, no, that's not what it means.
If you mean both were virgins, then probably, yes.
By the way, thanks for the mental image of RP tapping that ass that I now have.

That would be for 100 yards. It's equivalent to 10.8 for 100m.

This is still very good running for high school age. Hence the scholarship offer.

I'm just speechless. This is such a beautiful story. I doubt any of the other candidates (or most Americans) had to work this hard in their lifetimes.

when a month has five weeks and you get paid once a month you have extra expenses because you have extra days before your next check. the military pays once per month no matter how many days are in the month.

now no month is a full five weeks long but if you budget on a weekly basis and your monthly check arrives on a Saturday you might have to wait an extra two days to actually get paid hence a five week month

I'm positive that all-white wedding means all-white wedding ;) :

Carol wore a white Chantilly lace gown with a bouffant tulle skirt and a silk illusion veil attached to a half hat. Ron wore a black tux and a white tie.

Yeah, I love that piece written by Carol.

I'm pretty sure Ron Paul came from planet Krypton. The ancestors from Germany is a cover story.

Ron was a track star in high school, winning state as a junior in the 220-yard dash and 2nd in the 440. He ran the 100 in 9.8, and that was pretty fast for the early 1950s. He was also on the wrestling team. He was president of the student council and an honor student while working and participating in sports.

In all seriousness, if this man does not get elected I am going to be extremely disappointed in the American people for not coming to their senses fast enough.

His first and second in the 220 and 440 are impressive also... 440 is a tough event to be good in, it requires speed and endurance. A single all-out lap around the track. I ran it in high school, it is extremely evil.
